Adam Lambert on CBS Early Show

May 27, 2009 by Jeanne

American Idol season 8 runner-up, Adam Lambert, performed “Mad World” for the outdoor crowd on The CBS Early Show.  This video that I found isn’t the best quality but I find it amazing that he not only sounds incredible but he’s able to block out the windiness and the sounds of traffic around him in downtown New York City.  His voice is so absolutely beautiful performing this song.  I got goosebumps listening to it.  I hope you enjoy it too!

Watched Idol form beginning to end. Knew Adam was awesome from his audition – for the first time I did’nt miss one show- voted until I couldn’t stay awake – never before have I been so moved by anyone – listen to his music which I’ve downloaded from i tunes constantly – he has uplifted my heart so much — can’t wait for his songs to come out. I”ll be first in line. “Mad World” is my favorite. He is my idol for sure.

I am a retired singing artist (lead singer from an infamous band in the 60’s). The individuals who have a well trained ear for music (professionals, voice training teachers) will tell you that Mr. Lambert is a rareity. He has the capacity to project “voice placement” at every level, maintaining the note without fading. This individual is a true gem and has the POTENTIAL in my mind (my peers agree) to be one of the greatest recording artist of our time. Remember, I said potential. He needs to be guided by the appropriate individuals and continue to work hard. This young man is a true blessing to the music industry.

When ADAM came on I turned the volume up up up and enjoyed every one of his performances. He is an angel ( a naughty one ). I love him!!!
