A’kyra is a Tamyra Gray Fan!
Loyal Idol Stalker reader, A’kyra (who actually suggested the “Your Idol Day” idea), submitted this pic and blurb about why she likes American Idol’s Tamyra Gray.
I love Tamyra and her music. I think she did an amazing job on season one and I really liked her album. “Ha Ha” was my favorite track for a while and got me through a tough time at one point. I think she is very talented and should have lasted longer than she did on Idol but that’s ok. I was so happy to hear that she landed a lead role playing Mimi on Broadway’s RENT. This is an amazing opportunity for her and she has said in a few interviews that she is very happy with her life and how everything turned out since Idol. She recently, well maybe not too recently, married one of the members from Color Me Badd and says she is very happy.
If you remember Tamyra wrote the winning song that Fantasia and Diana Degarmo sang. Tamyra is very talented in all aspects of this business. I think she has finally gotten what she wanted though. Acting and singing is her nitch and I’m happy she found it after all those guest appearances on shows like Boston Legal, All of Us and even The Tyra Banks Show.
Tamyra is definitely an American Idol winner in my eyes. You don’t necessarily have to be crowned the winner to actually be a winner on American Idol and Tamyra proved just that.
You are totally right, A’kyra!

Ah, you have missed some Tamyra articles. We no longer have to feel bad about her being voted off.
Tamyra has said several times now that she is happy she did not win, she never wanted to win because as the “idol” she would be too controlled and not been allowed to record her own music.

I never said I felt bad for her, I’m actually really happy for her. That I did stress, but maybe you missed it. I did feel that she could have gotten further on the show, but that is NOT me saying I felt bad for her. I do read Tamyra Gray articles and kind of keep up with where her career is going. Are you trying to say I’m not a fan b/c of it?

I was speaking to the generic people out there that keep thinking Tamayra is robbed.
Please do not take my remarks personally, I don’t know enough about each person to make such remarks, but I do knoe htere are many people who do feel she was robbed and apparently she does not feel that way. I suppose my phrasing could have been better. She is happy and we can be happy is the theme of my comment.
The role is rent was quite a great opportunity with the addicted rent heads going and the bnew people going because they hear it is a great play, she gets to be the romantic lead and is gaining praise for it.
