Amanda Overmyer Sings National Anthem

Yowza! American Idol season 7 contestant, Amanda Overmyer, sang the national anthem at the Chicago Cubs baseball game a couple days ago. I understand that she’s unique, I even like her, but I did not think this was good at all. In fact, it was kind of difficult for me to watch. I know there are going to be people who like it and I’m not saying anyone shouldn’t. Listen to it and judge for yourselves:
Sorry, but that was not good at all.. Kinda like a rosanne barr. She picked her own keys and to much wabble. Maybe trying to get into key. This is not her type of song. She has to stay with the Rock or Janis Joplin songs where she can move and shout it out.

Considering that the Cubs and Wrigley Field go out of their way to find the worst singers ever to sing the 7th inning stretch, this was great compared to that. Thank god my White Sox dont let this happen at all of their home games…
I wish people would not try to make the National Anthem “Their own.”
