American Idol 7 Just Got Interesting…

So, what did everyone think of those eliminations on American Idol last night? I have to say that I was really shocked by the elimination of Alexandrea Lushington and Alaina Whitaker. While I doubt that either of them was going to win, I think they deserved spots in the Top 12 maybe with Kady Malloy and Amanda Overmyer going home.
Oh well, at least it’s not the Next Great American Band. That show was soooo dull. You may not always like it but at least American Idol is rarely boring, right???

Not sure why it became interesting last night. I fell asleep during the show. No great amazing eliminations.

Jean – I thought Alexandrea and Alaina were the first surprise eliminations of the season. I can always count on you to make me laugh, though. My husband found it to be a snore fest as well.

I definitely expected alexandrea and jason yeager to be eliminated, cos they don’t seem to have standout voices or performances.
BUT Alaina??? No way! I thought she was going all the way to the top12 ESP cos she looks, acts and sings like CarrieU! Of course she’s not as good a singer, but I thought her personality and niceness are very appealing.
I didn’t think her perf the day before was that bad and she has so much potential.
I thought Amanda was ok, except for the verse which was pitchy
I think that both Alaina and Alexandrea had horrid performances this week.. I was dead right, after the nights are over we say who’s gonna go.. and we were right this week!
We need Amanda and Kady in the competition, one is hot, the other is cute and is a rocker.. lol gotta have that on the tour.. come on guys!
