American Idol 7 Results – March 26, 2008

Tonight, on American Idol we will find out who will be eliminated! The Top 10 just performed “Get It Right Back To Where We Started From” and I cannot ever hear this song without thinking of “An Extremely Goofy Movie.” It was okay but there were some rough patches. Still, it was a fun song to start the show.

Chikezie has been put in the bottom three, Brooke White is safe and so is Carly Smithson (who is NOT pregnant).
Ford Commercial!!!! They are singing to “I Want You to Want Me” and I liked it but it was a little anticlimactic. Moving on…
David Archuleta is safe, David Cook is safe and Syesha Mercado is in the bottom three. Michael Johns is safe.
Kimberley Locke talked a bit about what she’s been up to since she was on the second season of American Idol. One thing worth mentioning is that she opened a restaurant (with partners) called Croton Creek. Anyone been there? She is singing her song “Fall” and it sounds a bit like a country song to me. I’m not in love with the song. She still has a good voice – I think it’s the song, because I’m not liking this. She looks great, though.
Ramiele Malubay is safe, Kristy Lee Cook is safe and Jason Castro is in the bottom three. WHAT THE HECK!?!?!?!? This is ridiculous. Kristy Lee’s gimmick worked, I can’t believe it.
Jason is the first to be sent back to the couch. Syesha is safe and Chikezie is going home. Wow… He wasn’t my favorite but I didn’t want him to win. Still, he deserved to stay here a little longer, in my opinion…

I can’t believe jason is first. If anything, Jason has the most star potential!!! This is crazy!
Jason needs to go, cute but not as talented as the others
Castro needs to step back from the bong…he more than any contestant has shown me the least in terms of range and taking on different styles of music. Chikezie looked so dissapointed after the judges gave thier opinon. Dude needs to show more confidence. IMO, David Cook is way above everyone. But he may have peaked too soon. What elso can he bring as the past few weeks have amazing.
I was really worried about Kimberly Locke popping out of that dress! Every time she took a breath, I held my breath.
And I really loved Chikezie’s voice. I’m sad he went home tonight.
Jane – the dress did make me a bit nervous too, lol.

David Archuleta!! He is the man! He is so cute, so loveable. Yes, Beuna Suerte David Archuleta!!!!!
Jane – I thought she was going to have a wardrobe malfunction as well. I was not diggin her hair either. I think she looked a lot better and healthier in the video before her performance actually.
When is Kristy going to leave already?? Jason should be leaving soon too b/c he really has no versatality. I mean, yeah he can sing no doubt about that but it seems his songs all sound the same like he’s around a camp fire singing kume-by-ya to kids. LOL
The whole David A. situation is tired already. Of course he is going to cover for his dad. I would not be surprised if he coached him on what exactly to say when asked about that song. The boy is awesome, he sings so effortlessly and it really was a nice song ( surprisingly I found myself humming it in the shower this morning-weird) but I think everyone wanted him to let loose and go with a song that was popular then. He had so many awesome tunes to chose from and he (or his dad) chose that one. Regardless of what happens on AI for him, he will definitely get a contract, then his dad will be happy and living off his son just like the Spears’.

A’kyra – I’ve been thinking, gee, it’s nice to have a dad who’s so involved in his son’s welfare, but I’m sure your thoughts are much closer to the truth! For such a shy, down-to-earth-ish guy as he seems, David A. seems to have done (been pushed into?) a lot, like Star Search, etc.
Jane – I know right?!! He is such a sweetie pie and has such an amazing talent. I would really like to hope that this is all untrue about his dad b/c you’re right it would be nice to see his dad just there supporting him and not pushing him.

Again, I think he would be great for Disney! Perfect actually, I think he would fit right in and excel to greater things
Ok, why in the world was Syesha in the bottom 3? I think she outsang most the past 2 weeks. I can’t believe Simon didn’t like her singing this week. I didn’t think the song was out of her vocal range! I wasn’t surprised to see Chikezie in the bottom 3 but, I didn’t think he’d be the one to go. Christie Lee Cook isn’t the best singer, she needs to go. I really think David Cook will win this year. He has proven to be outstanding! I loved David A at first, but week after week, he seems to be going down hill. Vocally, David has the best male vocals, and Syesha has the best female vocals… Again, surprised Syesha was in the bottom 3…. ??
I think Syesha is a victim of that Latoya London syndrome of a few years ago. Fabulous voice, but maybe doesn’t stand out as much as some of the others, like David Cook, who just blew everyone away this past week. You get the feeling that he’s out there to win it week after week, and really just going for it full-steam.
kimberly’s dress didn’t fit. her breasts were so mashed into the top of it, they weren’t going anywhere! if i had been the designer, i wouldn’t want my name attached to that ill fitting abomination.
i love david cook he is amazing.
i love all the american idols.
i want all of them to win but too bad
only 1 can be the winner.
