American Idol 7 Results Show – April 2, 2008
April 3, 2008 by Jeanne
Ramiele Malubay was eliminated from this season of American Idol last night and it was emotional. She was always the one crying when someone else was sent home and last night, it was her turn to leave.
After Kristy Lee Cook, Brooke White and Ramiele Malubay were put in the bottom 3, Ramiele was ultimately sent home.
Was it the right decision?

yeah i think it’s a fair decision. but too bad that ramiele started with a blast and fade into just a bland performer, but i think she’ll be famous and got recording deal because she has a whole package… she can be a teen pop diva. the stage fright really took her dreams off. the girl can sing.
So glad Kristy is still on. She will make a great Country Singer. It was Rami’s time to go. Brooke White??? She’s great! It’s time next week for Syesha to go. She sounds like everything else that’s on Top 40 radio these days!
Oh that is so bad but nonetheless, she is definitely going to get huge contract offers in the Philippines. She will be a goddess in her own country. count on it.
Too early to eliminate Ramiele… Jason should be out
i still love ramiele, eventhough she got voted off. she’s staying in my heart…i know i’ll meet her when she comes to the Philippines….i’ll buy her cd’s
i’m depressed now, i’m never gonna watch american idol again…
i sad!!!
really sad!!!
-.-
i lazy to watch american idol again!!!
-.-
but,,,
ramiele is still no 1 for me!!!
I’m really sad that Ramiele was evicted… And because of that, I don’t know if I would still watch American Idol…hmmm… She’s a big lost for the show’s rating!
SOFLO is sorry to see her go, but very proud of her and how far she has come. She is one of the few on the show that does not have previous experience at stardom and performing in front of large crowds. In a way that is the disadvantage that contestants like her are facing. Most of the others have performed in front of large crowds, and have that “on stage” experience, so they will naturally do better, but she did an amazing job and she should hold her head high. She will definitely be a star.
Remiele- see you at the coffee house next week mama- party on!
Jeanne- i will take lot’s of pic’s!
Jordin used to be the one who cried every week when someone went home. I always wondered if she would cry so much when she got eliminated. But of course she never was kicked off.
She won. And she cried a lot that night too.
Freaking FINALLY she’s gone. Everyone here at work is so glad (well, except Maria, who lost out on winning the Idol Pool when Ramiele got sent home). We all think she should have never made the Top 24 even. She was boring and her voice was only adequate.
Must be a Sanjaya fan.
I love David A. he is so bless with a god given talent and I hope he continue to use it wisely and I hpoe he win the compitition you go boy !!!!!
I love David A. he is so blessed with a god given talent, and I hope he continues to use it wisely and I hope that he wins the competition. You go boy !!!!!
She had nice legs for a shorty. Too bad.
Oh, Johanna, you make me laugh…saying Ramiele’s exit will be a loss in ratings for the show. Are you serious!?? Get a reality check! She’s gone because she didn’t get enough votes, which means she wasn’t popular enough. Why?Because she simply wasn’t good enough to compete with the stronger performers. And certainly not good enough to be a big star. She is very average. She’s not horrible, but she has no star quality. She might be a hit in her homeland, but she will fade into oblivion in the States. I’ll admit, she is good enough to perform at prom parties, but not good enough to be in the Top 10 on Idol! Buh-bye, Malubay!
Sarah W and Lee,
You hate Ramiele because she is the only Asian-American in the show and you do not like the idea of an Asian-American standing up to white America and winning. Congrats to AI – am sure Syesha is next and that leaves an all-white cast! Americans have not changed a bit despite the Civil Rights movement…
Right on, Pyro! Elton John was right on the mark on AI…
Pyro-you definiely make a good point. But we must remember that we have had 3 American Idols that were of color (Fantasia, Ruben and last year’s Jordin Sparks) and 3 that were not (Kelly, Carrie and Soul Patrol) so in this instance I don’t know if we can truely say that this is the fault of white America. In other situations I have to agree b/c America as a whole is racially generated but in the case of AI it’s pretty even, this year would be the tie breaker so to speak.
I too am very upset about Remeile leaving the show, but I think a couple things came into play here and the biggest one being her biggest fan base was over seas where they could not vote. Granted she does have a large fan base here but obviously not big enough.
Remiele is an outstanding individual with an amazing talent whether people want to amit to it or not. She does need to work on stage presence/fright but when she does, this girl is a power house. Another thing we should also consider is that over the years we have seen that winning AI doesn’t constitute the contestant as a true winner b/c the losers have been making it big and doing 10 X’s better than the winner. Why?They are not under the AI umbrella/contract. SO let’s be happy for her in knowing that some record label is definitely going to pick her up and she is going to be huge!
I can’t wait for her to come home, the coffee house has been packed every week with all of her fans and family. She has an awesome family that really supports her and loves her. No worries Pyro she will do fine
Ciao from Miami!
I wasn’t sad to see Ramiele go. I thought she lacked stage presence, some vocal abilities, and confidence.
A’kyra – So no one with on-stage expeience should be in this singing competition? Ramiele lacked in her vocals, so I thought it was fair that she went. I thought she and Brooke were the worst vocally this week. I don’t think it is fair to exclude people who have been on stage before. A person may have experience in that area, and still walk away from it lacking confidence and presence. And vice versa.

April 03, 2008 Thursday
I am so sad on what happened but not because of the people’s decision but what the staff told us.
Please do not send me mesages until i finish my statement.
I am still here in California, by the way please vote for David Cook to be the 7th American Idol, I know he will, let’s pray for him, inspirational songs for next week, and I chose heal our land but I can not sing that anymore.
There are news from people here in USA who were mad, cause they were dialling my number but instead of thank you for voting ramiele, it was
thank you for voting other’s name.
Technical problem. This problem is the same as on the case of Chris Daughtry you know every week we have theme, and they told that few weeks before that week.
They gave us list of songs and we choose our song, but sometimes you can hear from some staffs, “Oh it’s not for you try to sing fast songs” and they called me lullaby instead of malubay.
The staff also arranged the songs and most of the times judges didn’t like it, and they told us about the blocking like when i performed “In My Life” simon didn’t like the stair drama.
In the case of Brooke, they told Brooke not to use guitar but she insisted it and she had a wonderful job.
Now they are making news about David Cook that he is bad boy cause he was mad to some people here in our appartment because of some noise, they do that because kuya David makes his own arrangement.
The pilot episode’s rating was lower than season 6, and they make some noise, and they won.
What noise? The stripper issue, the racy photos which are not, the my space video, the album of carly , etc…
Josiah Lemming was mad sa american idol cause we know he deserves to be on top 6, cause they pick those who would make noise,
David Archuleta won star search, Alexandrian and David made a nosie cause they were co semi finalist in that said show, Syesha was the one in the US version of star academy.
Few hours after the result’s night I made a blog that tells everything I know but it was being cancelled like what happened on my myspace where Mr. Damian grass of associated press used my blog for those racy photos.
If you can help me please put on your blog all the things that I said. Chris of American Idol 5 was disappointed cause of the technical problem, and look what happened to Taylor hicks and Chris. That’s why AI showed some clips about post idol life.
Good thing is there are offers, I’ll be there in Philippines for pinoy idol, and hopefully in ABS-CBN with a pinoy who won sa isang reality show sa Europe, I think he will be in “Altagracia” with KC (Concepcion) and John Lloyd.
Please tell me about your blog!
Salamat.
I think it was really ramielles time to go but what matter is she still made us proud…and she continue to make us proud!!! its jsut sad to hear stories like this…David Cook indeed has the qualifications of a true winner! Hopefully he will make it!!!
Pyro, you’re ridiculous. Did I say I hate Ramiele? Did I say I hated Asians? I said she wasn’t strong enough to compete with the others. It’s the darn truth. The reality is, she lacks the talent, maturity, and professionalism. And just so you know, I am Hispanic. And I am in a rock band with an Asian-American. So, your theory sucks. Why don’t you just accept the fact that Ramiele does not have the talent to be a winner on AI. It’s as simple as that. Don’t throw the dumb race card, man…because I don’t play that crap!
Pyro – P.S. There are two Hispanics (Jason Castro and David Archuleta) and one African-American (Syesha) still in the Top 8 . So, stop complaining that there will only be whites left in the competition! Why not have more confidence in yourself and in your people, and stop assuming that just because someone finds Ramiele to lack talent, that it must be because she is Asian-American, or whatever. Get over it! It’s because she lacks the talent to keep on going! I think Kristy Lee isn’t good enough either! And I find Brooke very boring. Wow, and they’re not Asian. Oh, my! They’re white! Yikes! So, explain that one, Pyro.
A’Kyra, Thanks. Did not know Ramiele was Philippina – thought she was from Thailand! But she definitely was unfairly treated. I agree she doesn’t need AI to be famous.
————-
Lee,
Sorry but I also am Latino – Spanish in fact. For sucking up to those who unfairly treated a member of an ethnic minority group in America, you should be ashamed of calling yourself Hispanic. Come to Andalucia and I will show you what Latino really means…
Muchas gracias Pyro. Even we Latinos get second-rate crap in America. Americans feel so guilty about what they did to our black brothers so they let them win once in a while. We Latinos – they no feel no guilt, so we only good for soap opera for them. Viva la Espana, viva la sangre Latina…
Am Latina too and I love Ramiele. She reminds me of excellent singer in Guadalajara where I grew up – bonita. She looks Mexican more than Asian. In our neighborhood in San Diego, we all voted for her. Cannot believe she is gone.
hey slash listen, based on what Rameile
messengered to you, tell her that it was not a technical problem. i am a computer techo and this is pure manipulation by AI staff. if we call Ramiele’s number to vote for her, only she should have that number so there can be no mistake that the vote is for her. the fact that her vote was given to someone else is pure cheating by those who took the calls and tallied the votes. Ramielle and others who are victims should complain to the press…they will surely make this public. AI should not get away with this…don’t let them get away with this.
Madre mia! Poor Ramirelle was so unfairly treated. AI should bring back la mujer bonita!
Bring back Ramielle…she reminds me of Selena when she was starting. I live in California and we Mexican-Americans just love her.
Pyro – Your poorly written reply made absolutely NO sense. But at this point, you’re not even worth the trouble. Have fun in Andalucia.
Lee, Look who’s talking. Look who started it all by criticizing a lady named Joana just because she sympathized with Ramiele. You are one hell of a coward. You can only take on someone like Joana who is in a moment of anguish. Real Latinos do not insult people in grief. You are actually a fake, pretending to be Hispanic. If you have some “Hispanic” blood, you are nevertheless a disgrace to Latinos worldwide.
Pyro hijo stop bothering with that fake Latino Lee…
Let’s petition Latinos in US to return Ramielle to AI.
I hope to hear her sing Besame Mucho (my mama’s favorite)
Good idea Conchita!
i agree with some comments above, how can ramielle be voted out since the start of the votation, she ranks 2nd to 5th…the average could be 3th or 4th always…i was really surprised on that result when ramielle was first be on bottom 3 and she was the one going home. i felt bad on the show, i have also a feeling that something is wrong in the show.the technical staff should explain this further.
Hey Lauren how are you mama
No- I’m not saying that contestants with no stage presence should be on the show. If anything being on the show should actually help them develop, the skill but in this case she did not kick it into gear fast enough. I’m also not implying that contestants with the experience should be excluded either. I was just saying that the contestants that do have that experience have an advantage over the few that don’t and in turn they seem to do a lot better in working the stage and the audience. I think the contestants that do not have that experience need to kick it up a notch (i know that’s easier said than done) b/c the competition only gets tougher each week and they need to bring the whole package not just the vocals.
IMO Remeile lacked the confidence which showed in her vocals/performance. We all know she has the capeability to belt out a song but unfortunately she didn’t do it and others stood out to be more memorable.
As for all this other controversy and the comment posted on a blog that “allegedly” came from Remeile – oye! I mean you want to believe everything you hear but until it is proven I can’t even get into an opinion until we know the authenticity of the comment.
If it is true, it would not be the first time this has happened on AI. But let’s see how it plays out, it is very interesting to say the least.
Understand what i was trying to say a little better now?
I mean I know a lot of folks are glad to see her go and that’s fine b/c the reality of it s someone has to go. There is only one winner and Remeile did what she thought was the best she could do. Regardless, she made it further than thousands that tried out, she made the tour, and may get a record deal out of it so it’s not all bad news for her or any of the contestants at this point.
lol be good – Holla!
After last season I have learned that anything is possible on AI b/w the scandals and rumors and “plants”…it’s just like whatever….lol
Have a good one lil mama and tell your mom to bring you guys on down for some fun in the sun
Ciao from Miami
Jeanne – Do we know yet if any of it s true?
i do hope that those who are responsible in this show should have a further investigation on the last result and should explain fully, especially the blog that was posted above. in this way, all the rumours will not get worse and it’s for the credibility of the show.thanks so much!
If that’s really Ramiele’s blog posting, she sure is a poor speller and can barely write a grammatically correct sentence. I’d be embarrassed if I were her to post something that reads like a 2nd grader wrote it. Looks like it could be a fake posting to me.
I think that Lee and Pyro should calm down a bit. This page is for leaving opinions about what you think about what happened to Ramielle. Why do you both insist on bringing your cultures into the matter? Honestly…
——————————–
Oh, and Lee let me just point out to you what you said to Johanna about the shows ratings may not be true. Ramielle has got to the top 9 by America voting for her. She does have supporters whether you like it or not, no one really cares what you think because as far as I know not many people on this page do.
Have a nice life.
LOL, someone finally said wat we were all were thinking
Thanks Libby, I was thinking that it was fake the more I read it. You really can’t believe anything these days unless we see or hear for ourselves.
DAVID ARCHULETA is the best. although he’s the youngest but he has an attractively voice. Hope he’ll win –> AMERICAN IDOL 2008
A’kyra – Yeah, I hear what you’re trying to say. Glad we got that all cleared up…:)
Bonjour from Canada!
XOXO- Lauren (lolo)
i don’t think Ramielle should be out. For me, she is way better than the others..well, yea, she really started off nicely but she also didn’t pick the right songs and also didn’t have stage presence..but i really think she is SOO GOOD! and thats the reason why i was so tune in to american idol, cause i would only watch her and would never mind about the others. but i know Ramielle will be famous, SHE’S GREAT!
Ramiele Malubay is the best !!!
After she voted off, She is busy more than ever right after TV appearances, Interviews on Ryan Seacrest and 93.7 KRQ Radio. It sounds she is doing well…
She is so beautiful inside out , funny, very sweet, polite, gracious person.
Thanks Ramiele!!!
Maria I understand your excite but every Idol that gets the boot does those same interviews so its not like she is doing anything extra special…thay all do the same interviews. But, she will still do weel and will get a recording deal I’m sure.
I missed for a ramielle voice I know shes gone so far why she cannot compete well I know she is very professional in terms of singing.Ramielle dont stop dreaming I know you should not stop singing .
RAMIELLE what say to you cometence and character are necessary to inspire trust to other people.Eventhough your in America I love your voice is the air needed for the mood of the person to love, inspire and zeal to your advocacy .Dont think the competition think about what is the resulted of it.Keep up the good work.
