American Idol 7 Top 10 Guys David Cook – Video

February 26, 2008 by Jeanne

david cook week 2

David Cook talks about how he is a geek for vocabulary and loves crosswords.  I wish his hobby involved washing his hair, though.  He sang “All Right Now” (he’s also playing a guitar) and it is good.  Randy said he’s AI’s “real rocker.”  Paula agreed that he’s the real deal.  Simon said it was solid and sort of believable but mentioned the fact that David doesn’t have a lot of charisma and that crosswords are boring.

It was alright. I thought it was a bad song choice. He should have sang “Smoke On the Water” by Deep Purple instead (if available). I’m guessing the song choice list wasn’t great if he ended chosing a Bad Company song. There are a plethora of better rock songs to choose from the 70s.

  2. The singing wasn’t horrible, but there is something about this guy that gives me the Heebie Jeebies…

  3. Sorry to any of his fans who might have been offended, lol.

  4. Amory says:

umm the heebee jeebees??? i think he is alot better than some of the other train wrecks on that show. He is the only one thats actually somewhat original and has a style.

  5. Tamica says:

When he sings chills just run down my spine . when he song Billie Jean I honstly did not know that was Michael Jackson’s song, he made that song his and i have never seen anyone turn a song around like that.
