American Idol 7 Top 10 Guys Jason Yeager – Video

February 26, 2008 by Jeanne

Jason Yeager Week 2

Jason Yeager plays multiple instruments (piano, drums and guitar) but says he’s not ready to incorporate the guitar into his performance.  He sang “Long Train Runnin’” and, I’m sorry but there’s something about him that reminds me of a middle-aged accountant singing at an office party.  What is he wearing (it seemed like the wrong size)?  Randy said it was pitchy and karaoke.  Paula said it was fun to see this side of Jason.  Simon said it was awkward and ordinary.  He seems really upset by the criticism.  I feel sorry for him.

Looks like we all know who’s going home Thursday. This guy seriously needs to get a clue. His vocal styling sucks ass. He sings and chooses songs like this is a Bar Mitzvah or something. He did a good job of fooling the judges he deserves to be in the Top 24, but now he’s run his course.

LMAO-Jeanne I thought I was bad! Middle age accountant???!!! LOL That was funny.

  3. Jeanne says:

LOL!!!!!!! That’s what he looks like to me :)

  4. Dude, that guy is horrible. I want to know who’s voting for him!
Yeah, he really does look like a middle aged accountant trying to look cool and “hip”.
    Fo shizzle.

  5. Kelli says:

I think he has an amazing voice! I’ve enjoyed both performances of his. I, along with many others I know, have been voting for him. He’s the favorite in my family.

  6. Mark D. says:

This is insane, the one up there saying get a clue and others, like the stupid judges. They
clearly have this fixed and pour accolades on
the younger kids, given the ‘Sanjaya’ efffect.
A guy pushing 30, with a soulful voice, they
see visions of Taylor Hicks (who hasn’t sold
very many albums) so they give this guy the
crap for it. Clearly, this guy is better vocally
than Taylor, and all the other contestants,
in my opinion. I hear elements of the great
Steve Winwood in his voice, also Clay and
even some Ruben Stoddard. Just perfect
clarity, control and soul. People are so
stuck on image they can’t just listen. It
also doesn’t seem to matter that he is
    the most multi-talented musician, with
being able to play three instruments too.

  7. Maria says:

He was definitely one of my favorites. I think he has a great voice. I definitely disagreed with Simon on his comments about the performances. And I like his stage presence! I wish he wasn’t voted off today.

Great job, Jason, I thought you were excellent!
