American Idol 7 Top 10 Guys Robbie Carrico - Video
Robbie Carrico talked about the fact that he drag races cars. He said that it’s “amazing” and “a rush” and recommends trying it safely. He sang “Hot Blooded” and, while I am a Robbie supporter, I have to say that I wasn’t really feeling this performance. With all the 1970s rock songs out there, why did he pick this??? Ugh. Randy said that it didn’t quite work for him. Paula said that he played it a little bit safe this week. Simon said he thought the vocals were okay tonight.

I echo what you said. Worst song choice ever. He definitely should have done “Drift Away.” He could have done “Simple Man” despite that he already performed it for the first audition, but it’s better to do a new song.
