American Idol 7 Top 3 – Syesha Mercado

May 14, 2008 by Jeanne

Syesha Mercado looked great all night during her Top 3 performances on American Idol.  Before the start of the evening, I thought she was the clear underdog but, honestly, it was such a weird night and I think that she could surprise some folks tomorrow.

Randy Jackson chose “If I Ain’t Got You” for her “judge’s choice” performance and I thought it was good.  It’s definitely a tough song to sing but, even though I don’t really have any criticisms, I also wasn’t blown away either.  What did you guys think?

Watch her perform “Fever” and “Hit Me Up” after the jump!

Personally I think she did the best she could. I liked the Fever performance because it showed more of her “Broadway” side. The Alisha Keys song…those are some big shoes to fill cuz Alisha is so awesome, but again I think she did the best she could and at this point in the competition all 3 will get great deals, well the winner is stuck with AI, lol, so I’m not sure how “great” that is. The title is good to have but the contract-’eh
