American Idol 7 Top 4 – David Cook

May 7, 2008 by Jeanne

American Idol’s resident rocker, David Cook, had a good night but not as great as it could have been.  He chose "Hungry Like a Wolf" and I love the song but it didn’t give him a chance to really show off his voice.  His second song "Baba O’Riley" (also known as "Teenage Wasteland") was MUCH better.  I know it was used to promote some kids movie so if you could tell me what it was, I would be so grateful, lol.

Watch David sing Baba O’Riley after the jump!

Cool American Idol Scorecard that shows who’s UP and who’s DOWN (n possibly OUT)!

I thought it was okay. But definitely not his best.

I really liked the first one just because my GOD I love Duran Duran. But it definitely wasn’t one of his usual unique performances.

The second one was awesome though, I really liked what he did with it.

I think part of the problem was that there was a lot of pressure on him to do really well because it was rock week.

Also, I don’t know which movie it was used for, but Baba O’Riley is the opening theme music for CSI:NY so that’s what I was thinking about when I heard the first few notes. Once he started to really sing, I stopped thinking about that because my thoughts were *ahem* elsewhere.
