David Archuleta was pretty emotional meeting Mariah and she had some great advice. She also said she is proud of who he is as a person and that his singing is beautiful. He sang “When You Believe” and he was great!!!! This song is not only a Mariah song but she sang it with Whitney Houston and he still worked it out. Randy said it was the bomb! Paula said he made Mariah proud. Simon said it was really, really good.

He’s a talented kid and I couldn’t believe he picked a song that was done at a duet by the two power divas! Go David.
I’m not a big David A fan. It’s just not my style of music and I haven’t always gotten the appeal. But even I was impressed by his performance. He really did a great job with this song.

I think D.A. is a one trick pony. He has a nice voice but he makes every song sounds the same as every other song he has sung. And he schlumps around the stage like Eyore until he clicks into a robotic performance of yet another snooze inducing ballad. Great control… no soul.
