American Idol 7 Top 8 – Carly Smithson

Carly Smithson sang “Show Must Go On” and there were some not too great spots but she really is a solid singer. Randy said it started out good and ended good but missed the mark. Paula said her voice was totally almost perfect but said she didn’t feel the connection. Simon said she looked good (which is nice after he insulted her last week) and he said she oversang it to the point of losing control of it. He thinks she chose the wrong song.
I think Carly has the best voice of all the girls and the hardest time pleasing the judges. It’s too early for her to be going home. I really like her and hope she has enough votes this week to stick around. She one of the most interesting of the group. Good luck to you Carly!!!
