American Idol 7 Top 8 Girls Amanda Overmyer - Video
Amanda Overmyer sang “I Hate Myself For Loving You” and I thought it was pretty good. There was some pitchy parts but I kind of liked the imperfection of it. Randy said it was well done, Paula said she found her niche and that she loved her and Simon said he thought it was fantastic and that she absolutely nailed it.

Loved her, hell I love her! She kicks ass and I’m a 45 year old grandmother of 5. I don’t think she can sing all of the different styles required to make it to the end of the season, but I’d buy her music today! Somebody give her a recording deal.Please! I love that she is her true self and rough around the edges and her style kicks!!!!

She freakin sucks!!! What the hell are ppl thinking??! I cant stand the sound of her voice. It makes me cringe.

Kathy - It’s true that she probably won’t do well with all the different genres but I think she can do well in a certain niche for sure.
Kristine - lol. What else can I say to that?!?!?
Ashley - I think Amanda is definitely one that you either love or hate. I’m guessing you don’t love her, lol…

I have to agree with Simon once again though….this was the best performance of the night! I agree that she is less likely to win b/c of her style but she will definitely get a record deal. She was not on my original list of favorites but she got my vote last night :)

Wasn’t one of my favorites starting out but LOVED the performance–makes me want to dance and I’m 51 mother of 3, grandmother of 4. I think that she won’t make it to the top with IDOL, but I agree–she should get a record deal.

Sorry I was off topic lol…what do I think of Amanda..I like her style of music..I love Janice Joplin and Joan Jett.. I just don’t think she is all that good. I expect her to be something that I will like and I just can’t get there while she is performing.
