American Idol 7 Top 8 Girls Brooke White - Video
Brooke White sang “Love is a Battlefield” and I loved the acoustic arrangement. I thought it suited her really well and she did a good job. Randy said he really liked it, Paula thought it was a very wise choice and Simon said it was an original take on the song and that for two weeks running, she has given a great performance.

I think that she did a good job except that there wasnt anything extrordinary about it. She needs to pick songs that show off what she can do.

Yep. Nothing out of the ordinary on this one, unfortunately, but I think she is getting better.

I like this girl… but I am into folksy singers. I like Contemporary Christian ..she would be perfect there.

Nothing original about it; Pat Benatar did it acoustically on a late night show before. Still, at least she stuck true to herself and her lowkey style. Not bad.

This was my favorite of hers. She pulled it out on this one but has not been able to reproduce the connection she had with this one, on most of her other attempts. I’m 50 - I was a Pat Banatar fan way back when - I didn’t own many records but I had Pat’s stuff. Brooke comes across to me older than her years. I do miss the folksy stuff as I’ve gotten older - I’m really sick of the Whitney and Celine style of seeing how loud you can belt out a note and how long you can hold it.
