American Idol 7 Top 8 Guys David Cook - Video
David Cook sang Lionel Richie’s “Hello” and I was really, really surprised. I haven’t been a big fan of David’s but I really liked this. Randy and Paula but said it could (and should) be a single on the radio right now and Simon said that it was a very brave thing to do and he loved it.

Likewise, I think this was the best performance of the night and like Jeanne, I was surprised. I liked it though.

Loved it! LOVE LOVE LOVE-ed it.
Never liked Lionel Richie in the 80’s so this was a BIG surprise.
Got to say though if it really is about what holds up in the real world and I was the world..lol..which I am in my world.. lol ..the only person I would go and pay to see is Jason Castro..but that’s because as I have gotten older I am more into simplicity..but this is something I wouldn’t change radio stations if it came on.

When a person can sing anything, and make us like it, that person MUST be good. It was like Daughtry singing Johnny Cash. I don’t care for Johnny Cash, but I was blown away! David Cook has that same talent. In fact, I like his versions better than the original, and that’s rare.
