American Idol 8 Kris Allen “Remember the Time”

Kris Allen sang “Remember the Time” and, I’ve got to admit that I was not only surprised by the song choice but I was shocked that it wasn’t as terrible as I had braced myself for.
He had a sketchy note toward the end of the song but, overall, I thought it was a decent vocal performance. The women in the audience were screaming like crazy (except for the part in his video package when he was shown with his wife – ha ha!).
Kara gave Kris props for, not only accompanying himself on the guitar, but for helping all of the other contestants prepare for Michael Jackson week.

He sounds like a new kids on the block or Joey lawrence… sounds good but his voice sounds like he would be a one song wonder.
I think he is a contender, I compare him to Ace Young in terms of greatness(Ace was awesome!).
