American Idol 8 Top 11 Do Country Week

Last night, the Top 11 contestants performed on American Idol. They did country songs and, for the most part, it went a lot better than I was expecting. I have to say, however, that the weird new entrance with the voice announcing the judges and them walking out onto the stage is awkward to me. I don’t like it.
Anyway, host Ryan Seacrest wished everyone a Happy St. Patrick’s Day (the stage turned green for a brief moment) but did anyone catch Paula Abdul rolling her eyes while Kara DioGuardi was talking? They can say all they want but my eyes don’t lie and that was some clear cattiness right there.
Country music star, Randy Travis, served as the mentor this week and Simon Cowell seemed to get through his least favorite genre with minimal whining about not “getting it” for once.

- Megan Joy – “Walking After Midnight”
- Matt Giraud – “So Small”
Who was your favorite? This week, I really liked Kris, Adam and Danny which are three names I never thought I’d list!

I caught Kara doing the same thing behind Paula’s back….she looked at Simon and made this little face.
It’s a shame cause I like them both….
I think Alexis is in hugeee danger dialidol puts her in 11th place, with Allison and Megan in 10th and 9th place respectively, tonight I hope if Alexis gets send home the judges save her!!! :S

Country week? I am not a big country fan though I love Carrie Underwood! She rox! Best of luck 2 the contestants.

Jeanne I’m hearing that Kara won’t be back next year because there is some static between Paula and her and the other producers regarding their wardrobe budget. Apparently the two women share the same budget and currently Paula gets the bulk of it and Kara wants more.
It seems pretty silly and I’m sure its just a rumor just like last week it was Paula that wasn’t coming back because “4 judges is too much and takes up too much time”. Then of course she took it back saying she was “misquoted”.
videos are usually on famewatcher.com I thought there might me some friction between Paul and Kara this year. It’s a woman-thing and personally, I liked Kara at the beginning but I can take her or leave her now. Fighting over a clothes budget when she just came to the show? Give me a break! She’s lucky to be there.
I loved Adam too he’s awesome so original.
About Paula and Kara… I just feel like Paula hates having another woman in the panel. It seems like whenever she talks after Kara she tries to imply that what Kara said was stupid… I used to love Paula in the past seasons but this is just childish to me…
