American Idol 8 Top 7 Results Show

The American Idol results show was tonight and it was fun to see the finalists at the premiere of 17 Again and then have the star, Zac Efron, in the audience.
The guest performers were Jennifer Hudson and Miley Cyrus. Hudson sang “If This Isn’t Isn’t Love” and I thought she gave a good performance. Cyrus sang her new song “The Climb” and I really didn’t love it.
Anoop Desai, Lil Rounds and Matt Giraud were in the bottom three tonight. Anoop was the first to be sent back to the couch (thank goodness!) and I was shocked that Lil was the other to be declared safe!
While Matt sang for his life Paula and Kara stood, holding hands and singing to him. I found it really fake looking as if they were trying to dispel rumors that they are feuding.
Simon made a final announcement. Two people are going home next week and next week’s theme is disco.

They did look fake, I agree. What was up with how they were dressed! Randy & Kara had on purple and Simon & Paula had on black.

I hate they saved Matt, he really didn’t deserve it, he’s so boring
I thought Lie should have gone, but it doesn’t matter because they were gonna save whoever it was last night. This way, after two leave (Lil and Matt) next week there will be a “clean” Top 5. If they had waited to use save next week, two would go the following so it would go from Top 6 to Top 4, not as good for marketing. Nothing happens on Idol without a marketing twist behind it.
I didn’t even notice the color coordinated outfits. What was THAT about?!
