American Idol Countdown #6 – Phil Stacey

January 9, 2008 by Jeanne

Phil Stacey Phil Stacey was one of two contestants eliminated on May 2, 2007 from season 6 of American Idol.  I liked Phil.  He kind of dropped off my radar for a bit but he bounced back strong and made me a believer.  I thought the performance that led to his elimination was strong and undeserving of so few votes (even Jon Bon Jovi loved it) but that’s how things roll at the end of the season.  Did you like Phil?

Here’s a video of him singing "Blaze of Glory"

I agree with what you said about his elimination. I was one of his fans from the beginning, and always felt he was a great singer. But now he is definitely on the radar! His new single, “If You Didn’t Love Me” debuted on country radio this past Monday. Thanks to PhilnaticsDotCom, there is a link on youtube. Go take a listen!

In my opinion, Phil has what it takes to be very successful in the music business. He is a gifted performer, has a wonderful personality, and is a very humble person. His voice on this song is flawless. Phil is on his way!
