American Idol Flashback: Season 2 Top Five Medley

Here’s a video of the medley that the top five contestants on the second season of American Idol performed. I thought they did a great job but they were a really strong group of singers. How can you go wrong with Ruben Studdard, Clay Aiken, Kimberley Locke, Trenyce and Joshua Gracin? It was a nice mix. Check it out:

Ruben, Kim, Trenyce, Josh, Clay and the rest of the top 10 from AI2 certainly were a strong group. Even as they dwindled down to the top 2 their performances together were just outstanding.
AI season 2 had the best group of singers yet. So many times on AI when the group tries to sing together its a disaster. Its as though harmonizing is beyond them. These kids had it all.
IMO the best top 5 of all seven years. All the group songs were just great. Like other seasons when you had to wonder how certain contestant made it as far as they did, all of these kids have a great talent and are meant to perform. It was sad to see any of them eliminated. Clay was my favorite and IMO still the most talented AI contestant so far.
