Well I am not going to comment on Season 5 because it is H-I-S-T-O-R-Y. But I will comment on Season 6. From what I have heard about the viewers having the final vote, well that is alot of BS. Idol producers have been telling Gina Glocksen to remove her tongue ring all along.Producers said that the tongue ring does not fit the image of what Idol is all about. I say that everyone is entitled to show individualism,it did not bother me at all. But it bothered the Idol producers, and they (not viewers) cast the final vote and Gina got the ax. She is one helluva better singer than Haley, and 1,000,000,000 times better than Sanjaya. My dead dog could sing and howl beter than Sanjaya anyway. In his case, ii’s all about race and creed. Look at his first and last names. We’ve had blacks and whites win Idol, now I guess the Producers want a mixed/different race. My votes go to Melinda each week. A white man won last year and it’s time again for a black to win. Just look back at who won each Idol. Ebony and Ivory, living in perfect harmony. Between Idol and Survivor, I opt to watch Survivor. Idol is and has never been about talent. Especially this year. Very few are on pitch and the women almost always take octaves that are either too low or too high than they can accomplish. Does anyone know what the age cutoff is for auditioning for Idol? Because I am 52 and would probably sing rings around those Idols.
