Kristy Lee Cook Eliminated from American Idol

American Idol has lost another contestant.  Kristy Lee Cook has been voted off of the show.  She was pretty good last night but I do understand why it was her time to go.

Watch a video of the elimination:

finally! she should have been gone 5 weeks ago

  2. bzero1 says:

Truely agree, but based on Tuesday night’s performance, Brook should go

  3. Gnillob802 says:

Kristy is off because only girls and gays watch American Idol. Straight guys vote for hot chicks but not enough straight guys watch the show.

  4. bzero1 says:

LOL hmmm if that is true, wondering why Clay lost?????

  5. dansce says:

i think if ramiel malubay managed to be in MC week, she would have made a great performance..the same with michael johns..:(

I don’t know, the last 2 weeks have been kinda a mystery to me. To use Paula’s cliche, the remaining contestants are so close as far as talent, you might as well throw a dart at the wall to decides who goes home. If it was based on performance it should have been Brooke going home. Brooke probably has a stronger fan base than Kristy because she has been more consistent over all. Kristy despite improving drastically still had her previously lackluster performances hanging around her neck like an albatross. Carly Smithson’s fans apparently rallied to save her, as Simon keeps giving her a verbal beating. It’ll be interesting to see what gives first…if Simon stops rippin her or if the negative comments take their toll and Carly gets the boot. Simon’s negative remarks seem to have a delayed reaction, as they did with Kristy..seemingly getting voted off for performances a couple of weeks ago or more. Well, anywho there are some more good articles on American Idol at jviz.blogspot.com, particularly this one is relevant

Kristy Lee was the TOTAL package. Soooo sorry to see her go. Americans are such morons for voting her off. Kristy Lee is gorgeous and sings (good intonation and has plenty of volume to be developed) and hangs out with real-life values, horses, and good stuff. Excellent role model for kids. SHE should have been the American Idol. She has a wonderful future ahead of her if she gets managed right. Go country, girl. She is the total package who will be a pleasure to hear and see for the next 30-40 years. Nashville. Las Vegas. As for the others, well, do you really want to pay $180 to watch a blinking Dave sing on stage… ? You gotta have the voice, looks, life values, and marketability. Not just a stupid smile and a lot of blinking. And what does Simon know!!! He manages a group that should be called DECIBELO — three guys who don’t even know how to spell subtle.

  8. Lauren says:

I agree completely with who went home. I actually thought she should have been voted off a while ago.

  9. kayzee says:

I hope klc records forever. I would buy it in a munute. I can’t stand the thought of BRILLO HEAD being there one more week. GAG, Seriously don’t they have hair stylists anymore?? They were even able to help tame down Kim Locke;s unruly locks. And for the record, CLAY AIKEN is still the most talented contestent OF ALL TIME.

  10. kayzee says:

bzero1, your name is definitely approptiate. With emphasis on the zero. Why don”t you get your facts STRAIGHT, no pun intended before you make false and erroneous comments.

  11. Peter says:

They got it correct – finally.

  12. Cherie says:

She went after Michael Johns, which blows my mind. She performed OK the night before, but she had been given a free pass for too many weeks. It was time.

  13. Jane says:

Kristy Lee was a sweetheart; sad to see he go- A comment was made above about Jason Castro, referring to his dreds- I think his hair is unique & kool… his positive enthusiastic attitude & voice is what makes him a star though! He’s the epitome of social grace.

  14. Cloud says:

i didn’t think she should be voted of it should of been john castro

  15. Cloud says:

u no wat i think i should be american idol

  16. Cloud says:

    lol

  17. dkl says:

I agree that kristy should/ve been gone long ago. I was thrilled with this weeks results!! Klc is just too fake/plastic if you ask me. She has a nice voice, but not much personality. Now all the other girls need to go — sorry Brooke. I think David Cook’s gonna go all the way.

  18. xomegg says:

*** that’s JASON castro, not john. but i really liked kristy. i think she was cute (personality-wise) i think she wasn’t liked cuz she’s too much a country girl in a season of rockers. and she’s like another kellie pickler in a way (a young blonde country girl) so america’s not ready for antoher one. but i think she’ll be successful. i’m excited to see her in the idols live tour this year :) and btw, i think syesha should have gone before kristy. and maybe after this week’s performances, maybe brooke. idkkk. i <3 you kristy. good luck!

  19. koko says:

sorry!!! but syesha mercado is the best singer on american idol history!!! she is better that kelly clarkson and carrie underwood. her version od “i belive” is better than fantasia did……

  20. cookie says:

YEA!! Koko–I thought I was the only person on the internet that recognized what a beautiful voice Syesha has. And when they put her down for trying to sound like Fantasia I almost choked. She wouldn’t want to sound like that,Syesha can sing.

  21. Gangster59 says:

In the political semiotics at work here corporate imperialism and colonial modernity are the logics structuring a sense of region. ,
