American Idol Results Show – February 28, 2008

It was an emotional results show on American Idol tonight. Tears, protests, shockers, etc… It was definitely one of the most surprising and sad results shows I have ever seen. Here are some photos from the night and, of course, videos of the eliminations.

First up, it was Danny Noriega vs. Jason Yeager. Ultimately, Jason Yeager was sent home and I was relieved (sorry – I can’t believe Danny Noriega was in the bottom!). Watch the elimination:
Next it was Amanda Overmyer vs. Alexandrea Lushington. In the first shocker of the night, Alexandrea was sent home. I love Amanda, don’t get me wrong, but she’s had two weak performances in a row! I don’t know how she managed to stick around.

The third elimination saw Kady Malloy facing off against Alaina Whitaker. Alaina went home and, again I’m sorry, but there’s no way Kady should have stayed instead. What the heck??? Poor Alaina lost it and almost refused to sing. Poor girl. I thought she would be in the Top 10 for sure…

The final results included Luke Menard and Robbie Carrico. In the end, the rumored wig-wearing Carrico was sent home. I thought Luke should have gone but I could understand why Robbie was sent packing. Sheesh…

Oh God, I feel really relief knowing that Danny still can perform again on the next American Idol show! I can’t believe he was almost eliminated. I’m just too far from America and The show is shown on Thursday and Friday here. I hope he’ll be safe next week n singing magnificent song. Keep struggling, Danny!
I was definitely shocked! I know it wasn’t funny but when Alaina was like I’m not singing I cracked up and said I don’t blame you girl. I wish Robbie would have snatched his wig off though! Ha ha that would have made my day!
And all the crying omg! David needs to keep it together a little. He cries more than the girls!!
I know this might sound bad…but I started laughing when Alaina lost her cool. She’s a good singer, but she’s not one of my favorites. I can already predict the top six girls.

The girl with the black hair and white streaks, the nurse. Music she should have sung: Try A Little Tenderness, starting at the top of the stairs then when it really breaks loose slide down the railing.
Also Sitting On The Dock, sitting up on the ramp where all the girls are looking out singing. Then walking slowly down the stairs. At the whistling walking slowly up the stairs, like she don’t care!
Next song Calypso done by John Denver having the audience joining instead of the 3 girls. Going around into the audience.
These songs would suit her well! Look for those kinds of songs with her voice! Make the songs hers but keep away from the songs she has been singing.
I would have loved to have seen Alaina stick around, but I’m happy to have seen the others go. Of all the songs, Alexandrea sang the Pets.com song. I will never understand that.
