American Idol Results Show – March 19, 2008

American Idol will announce his Top 10 tonight! Woohoo! The contestants are doing a Beatles medley (yeah, again…lol). Some of it sounds pretty good and some of it is just okay. I wish they hadn’t done this theme twice in a row. Oh well…

Brooke White is the first person to make the Top 10.
Carly Smithson is in the bottom three and I don’t agree. She’s not my favorite but she’s wayyy better than this!
David Archuleta has made it into the Top 10!
Michael Johns is in the Top 10 and I’m not sure about this one…

Aww… the Ford commercial was really cute! It was set back in the 1950s
David Cook has made it into the Top 10 and I am happy. He has really won me over.
Kristy Lee Cook said she thought it was her strongest performance last night! Uh huh… She’s in the bottom three (where she belongs).
Jason Castro is in the Top 10!!!!!
Ramiele Malubay is also in the Top 10!

They took viewer questions and among the answers, Simon Cowell said that he would be willing to do a sequel to the kissing scene with Paula Abdul.
Kellie Pickler is about to perform and it showed a montage of how her life has changed since being on the show. Aww, what a cute segment. She’s singing “Red High Heels” and it sounds good. I wish she had sung “Things That Never Cross a Man’s Mind.”

They are showing footage of Elliott Yamin and Fantasia Barrino in Angola for Idol Gives Back. It was really touching. I cried so much during last year’s special and this reminded me of how important this is.
Syesha Mercado is now in the Top 10!!!
Amanda Overmyer and Chikezie were called out and Chikezie is safe but Amanda is in the bottom three.

Amanda Overmyer has been eliminated and, while I’m not crying, I think Kristy should have gone home. Wow…

I think Amanda was glad to go. I think it should have been Kristy to go but hey….voters like the dim-wits that butcher songs. She (Kristy) really does not deserve to be on American Idol any longer. She is annoying and butchers just about every song she sings, has NO stage presence and is very forgetable. It was more entertaining watching Sanjaya butcher a song than Kristy.
AP: The results show is not two hrs, not till the finale.
I think that Kristy should have went home. But, I guess everyone has their own opinions.
