American Idol Season 7 Audition – Amy Davis

February 6, 2008 by Jeanne

imageAmy Davis sang “Blue Bayou” and I didn’t actually love it – sorry.  I actually was surprised that she got put through to the next round.  Surprisingly, it looked like Paula Abdul would have said no even though Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson were quick to say yes.

What did you think of Amy’s audition?

  1. Lowell Alum says:

Amy is from our hometown of Lowell, IN and she actually has a TERRIFIC voice! I think it was nerves. She deserves to be in the top 24!

  2. Amy Davis (a different one) says:

I am embarrased to share the same name with this girl. She needs to put her assets away and get by on her voice.

  3. NWI resident says:

I have lived in the same town with this girl and went to school with her. I am embarrassed she is representing Lowell, Indiana. She doesn’t have a voice and she got on Idol because of her half naked modeling pictures. No hoe for Lowell!

  4. Are you kidding says:

NWI and the other Davis I too live in Lowell and we are proud of Amy. Jealousy is definitely raring its head with you too. Just because you don’t have it don’t hate on someone who does.
Amy you obviously sang great in LA and got through to the top 24 good luck from a true NWI resident who can be proud of you accomplishment!!

  5. Beth from Lowell says:

I am very proud of Amy; I live next door to her father and step-mother in Lowell. Meet Amy once, she’ll affect you for the rest of your life. She’s terrific (not to mention drop-dead gorgeous). I am one proud Lowell resident that Amy represents our town. Can anyone else make any other claims of how great they are, especially those who sit on their couches and have done nothing with their lives, but judge her for not being “good enough” to represent town? Get a grip and be happy for her and having the guts to put herself on the line.

  6. NUMBER1AMYFAN says:

AMY HAS AN AWESOME VOICE, AI TOOK THESE KIDS OUT OF THEIR COMFORT ZONE ON THIER VERY FIRST NIGHT OF TELEVISION, I CHALLENGE ANYONE TO DO THIS EVEN ON A KAREOKE NIGHT, SING A SONG THAT IS NOT FAMILIAR TO YOU AT ALL. I AGREE IF YOU MEET HER ONCE, SHE’S UNFORGETTABLE.

  7. Kim says:

I didn’t think her first audition was very strong at all, and I’m surprised she even made it to Hollywood. What did she do in Hollywood to get her through to the top 24–are there any videos of her in Hollywood online? I think she was very out of her league.

  8. Toni says:

I have heard Amy sing in person and she has an incredible voice. Her nerves got the best of her. Obviously there is a certain element out there that is going to feel extreme jealousy toward anyone as beautiful and sweet as Amy. Amy is too classy a women to listen to a low life trying to trash her.

  9. Jessica says:

I loved her and i actually live 10 minutes away from her.i want to meet her but my dum cousin wont take me.anyways,I LOVE YOU AMY!!!!
