American Idol Season 7 Audition – Aretha Codner

Aretha Codner was named after the great soul singer, Aretha Franklin. She sang "I Have Nothing" and I thought it started off well but then she changed keys a couple times and it went downhill from there.
This could have just been a case of nerves but she was rejected by the judges. Too bad.

She can actually sing it’s just she butchered her audition. She should have just gone in there and sang it normal, not change it so much, that’s where she messed up…too bad.
Actually, Aretha could sing and the changes in keys were the same as the original song by Whitney Houston. The Judges were just wrong. She got a bum deal. They should have let her sing something else. They give others the same opportunity. What about the guy who shaved his hair. What a waste of time.
I think Aretha has potential but just had a bad audition. She should have been given an opportunity to sing another song. And she didnn’t actually butcher the song! Ive heard worse….but I wont name names!

I thought she did an okay job. She definitely had a good start, and even if she did slightly botch up a little, the judges were way harsh. If you read this girl I think you should audition next year!!!
