American Idol Season 7 Audition – Brooke Helvie

Brooke Helvie is a pageant girl from southern Florida and I have to admit that I wasn’t expecting much from her. She did annoy me a *little* bit but I’ll admit that it’s hard to really get to “know” the contestants during the audition round. A little careful editing can make anyone look a certain way so I’m trying to be fair.
She sang “Who’s Loving You” and it was pretty good, actually. When she got put through to the next round, she shrieked so loud and Simon referred to her as “possibly the most annoying person he’s ever seen” in his life. The other judges didn’t seem to enamored with her either, lol.

yea let me tell you I usually believe that the editors do make a person seem different, but in Brooke’s case that is not the truth. I met Brooke in a UF event and what you see is what you get. She is exactly how they showed her on the audition. She might be a little ‘annoying’ but tha shows that she is real and isn’t putting on a show for anyone
Fair enough. Besides, there’s plenty of “annoying” people in Hollywood who are doing just fine because their quirkiness is appealing for the reason you mention – they are real
