American Idol Season 7 - "The Best" Top 12
American Idol judges, Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson told "Extra" that we’ve never seen a Top 12 like this one before!!!! I’m so excited!
“This will be the strongest twelve we’ve ever had, and I’ve never, ever said that before,” Simon revealed.
“We’ve never had a top twelve like we’re going to have this season,” admitted Paula.
Added Randy, “I think it’s the best we’ve ever had.”
Is there a star in this group????
“I’m going on record: There’s more than one,” Paula said.
Added Simon, “Yeah, Kelly, Carrie – all of them. I mean, very, very strong.”
One thing has remained the same - the bickering between Simon and Paula.
The dynamic between the two is “atrocious as usual,” admitted Simon. “You know, Paula sees right, I see left. I mean, that’s what it’s like.”
Added Randy, “We fight a little bit…everyone gets frustrated. I understand. I get it.”

I saw this interview and laughed my head off - there are a few problems with it.
1. Simon said it is the best year ever and this is the strongest top 12 ever. - UMmmm every year they say “this is the best year ever”. EVERY YEAR! What he never said before is this is the strongest top 12 ever - how could he, they have yet to select the top 12 and the public decides on the top 12…. or do they?
2. There is a star in this group, more than one - heard that one before as well.
I heard saw Ryan talk about AI on E!News (note to self, get a life!). He said this would be the first year when there were a lot of “accents” on the stage. He said many people were not born in the US. He described this as melting pot idol. Well, we know they had to get a green card for Irish girl, and one of the contenders was up for a grammy a few years ago and another is a Star Search winner. It is starting to smell of recruiting people to appear on idol, something like the stories seemed to have circulated for the past few years about the producers recruiting talent for the show, not that it is so wrong, except that they don’t admit it and try to play up the amatuer aspect, although the amatuers never seem to get very far. And now, they are recruiting out of the country, sort of turning American Idol into World Idol. Why not just have a show called World Idol and recruit for that?
I am thinking that people have figured out the only way to become internationally famous is to appear on AI, not their won country’s Idol version. See last and only World Idol winner.

They have said this every year! This bunch is so laughable it is almost embarrassing!
I stopped watching AI after season after I watched the shenanigans of season two. This show has no more credibility as far as I am concerned and would not waste a nickel of time watching it!
However, my best wishes and kudos to all those following their dreams!
Kelly, Clay, Ruben and Carrie! The talent stopped there!

They always say “This is the best year we’ve ever had” every season! Last year was a flop and the contestants were so boring. And how do they know that this will be the best top 12 ever if the public hasn’t even voted yet? I think the whole voting system is a crock and they just put whoever they want to in the top 12 regardless of their votes. I hope this year has some good talent and the contestants are actually interesting like season 4 and 5.

Garrett Haley is soooooooo cute, and he’s our nephew from Colorado. We’re very proud of him and we wish him all the luck. He’s got alot of talent. Garrett is a morally sound young man with a heart of gold. From all the Haley family in Monte Vista, Colo.

I think that David Archuleta is possibly the best on Idol this year and that if he does not win IDOL, he will be no less than runner-up.
