I can’t believe Josiah Leming didn’t make it. I thought he was really good. On his myspace page he can really play piano and guitar and write songs as well. He must have been disappointed.

Why in the hell did Samantha Sidley not make it? I firmly believe this show is rigged. If they want to continue rolling out the same boring ol’ cookie cutter Idols then I guess they are doing a good job. I swear she has one of the nicest voices I have heard in a long time, probably better than any of the previous Idol winners and they don’t pass her through to the top 24? Yet they put Sanjaya through last year? I will never watch Idol again this is BS!

Not really much of an American Idol fan but once i saw josiah i had to start watching it. i was pullin for him. he would make a great story.. i hope he does great in life and one day i can buy his album.. i hope those arent real. i want josiah to win he just brings something the other contestants cant.

Josiah Leming was too artistic for this show. He couldn’t follow the band because the music is in his head. I am in the music industry and I can say that is a sign of true talent. No doubt that we will be hearing from this kid soon.

I heard that josiah was cut because the producers already have a winner (in mind) and they are afraid that he’ll win if he goes through. They would be lucky to have him on the show. I’m heartbroken, not because we’ll never see him again (i KNOW we will eventually) but because he must have been sooo upset to hear that he didn’t make it through. If this really is the producer’s decision, they should be ashamed of themselves! They have people lives, careers, and spirits in their hands and all they are worried about is ratings and record sales. I hope he doesn’t get discouraged…

Wow totally shocked at that comment about Colton. I do believe that he got shafted in singing sargents. The teach is a total you know what. Trust me I have been there too. And as for support we do support him. It just so happens that when you get into american idol you have a contract and you can’t tell people whats going on except what they are telling to the public. Whether he made the cut or not, I still believe in Josiah Leming’s talent. American Idol is perhaps too “commercial” for this unique kid. Good luck and thank you, Josiah! Your story has been so inspirational.

Garrett Haley all the way! All the contestants have great talent or they wouldn’t have made it as far as they have. Losing on Idol isn’t a career-ender, it’s just one avenue to success. So, fans of those who haven’t made it - cheer up! If you like the person, help him/her out by spreading the name in a positive way!

If Josiah is out so am I - he is the only one with exceptional talent. Others can sing but they can’t evoke the response Josiah can. If they want to sell music he is the only choice

why isn’t josiah leming on there? i don’t think this list is real at all (at least i hope not). And i thought this year they were looking for someone more multi-demensional, i mean, he was the only one on that show that stuck out and someone you could actualy remember.

I think you guys are insane about Josiah Leming. Yeah, he did great in his FIRST song, “Grace Kelly”, but his vocals were HORRIBLE in “Stand by Me”. He dismissed the band because he couldn’t stay with them and couldn’t suck up his pride and do the song the way it was written. If anyone of the REAL singers would’ve dismissed the band they would’ve at least hit the notes and sang the song in tune.
Don’t get me wrong, I like the kid and I think he’s got talent, but his singing was awful in that song. He went flat and couldn’t hit the high notes and his voice sounded like someone was beating him in the neck with a sock full of nickels while he was singing.
Anyway, I think he MIGHT be able to do well in the finals, but American Idol isn’t made for artists, it’s made for singers. Josiah is a musical artist. His talent is going to come from writing songs, playing songs, and his charisma. His voice, while somewhat original, is just sort of mediocre. Even if this list is fake, I don’t see Josiah making it to the top 12.

Did you guys ever watch that show with the little kids who sang years ago? Arsenio Hall was the host of it and it was a lot like American Idol. They tried to decide who the best singer was. David Archuletta was on that show and I think he was in the finals…

Josiah should form a band and audition for the Next Great American Band show. Seriously, American Idol was NOT the right competition for him. He deserves to be a frontman, not a singer. If Thom Yorke auditioned for American Idol, he wouldn’t get past the audition, likely. But he’s in Radiohead, one of the most influential bands in the world. So basically, he’s gonna make it through this just fine, he’s really talented.

Let’s be serious. The only reason everyone is in love with Josiah Leming is because of his sob story. Sure he can play an instrument, write songs, and has decent stage presence, but his singing is really not that great. Stand By Me was HORRIBLE. It is not fair to those with talent to put him through because you feel sorry for him. That’s not what the show is about. He needs to man up.

Josiah was mediocre at best. I am so tired of people getting overlooked because someone else has a sob story. There were people dealing with death and disabled children on this show and everyone is shocked and shaken because car boy got cut? Please! The only reason his story seemed so sad is because he bawled like a baby every time the camera cut to him. Give me a break. Go judges! Cutting trite like him reminds me why I watch this show.

I have never written in about this show, but I am totally disappointed that Josiah did not make it. Who cares that he did not do well on the last audition. He is a green, young kid that could have been worked with during the show. He was the *only interesting different contestant and showed an amazing talent. I’m very disaapointed. He could have won.

Oh, and Josiah was different, but not vocally talented. His vocals are less than spectacular. His rendition of Mika was ingratiating. I still like him and I realllllllly wanna see some independent agent get in touch with him and give him the break he deserves. But trying to sing on Idol each week would crush his soul.
I feel bad for Kevin, the senator kid (I think that’s his name?) as well. Simon was right, he was more deserving, if not stellar. Hopefully him and Cardin get some kind of break in their lifetimes.

Colton Berry kinda sux a lot. He may be a good singer, but his attitude is so fake and bitchy that no one will vote for him. Simon looked right past his bullshit and he saw who should have won. Randy and Paula made a huge mistake picking that fake pos to be in the top 24. If you know Colton and like him, you are obviously just as low and shallow as he is. he does not deserve to be in the top 24.

Honestly, I was very happy when Josiah got cut. There were so many other talented singers that were sent home in his place. He wasn’t that good a vocalist. Yes, he was a great musician who probably shouldn’t have auditioned for AI. You have to have a very spectacular voice, and honestly you have to WIN AI or not expect a career. Anyways, here’s my prediction for the top 12: 1) David Archuleta (Even though he was on Star Search and lost to Tiffany Evans…who would probabaly win AI had she waited) 2) David Hernandez, 3) Chikezie Eze (He’ll need to give himself an easier name, though) 4) Danny Noriega (We’ll see if the gay vote rallies behind him)…The last 2 guys are a toss-up because I haven’t seen the other guys enough. Now, for the girls! Definite top twelvers: 1) Asia’h Epperson (Don’t she sound like Keyshia Cole?) 2) Ramiele Mulabay 3) Amanda Overmeyer (She sounds like Janis Joplin, and I agree with Randy that singers like her could be big again) 4) Joanne Borgella (Big but oh so talented…and sexy!) 5) Syesha Mercado 6) Carly Smithson.
The girls above are pretty much locked unless they BLOW in the semi-finals. We’ll see what happens.

I am 40, My son and I really like Josiah right from the forst authentic note and felt like he was the only person in the group with substance, A Mozart in the middle of a marching band if you will. The kid has the IT factor, whatever IT is. He is just so compelling and owns every lyric he sings…one to look out for…

Oh yeah, “not a hater”, I completely agree. Colton is clear first week elimination material, haha. It’s not the fact that his singing was completely average (although that’ll clearly play a part), but it’s the fact that, like you said, if he is really that smug, he’ll be a turn-off. I strongly think David Archuletta will go VERY far in this competition. He has got awesome talents in his voice and I admire his ability to stand out among hundreds of people to sing his heart out, not to mention that he has a paralysed vocal cord. That kind of perservering spirit is definitely commendable and admirable…all the best to him…:)

1. I’m surprised that no one even mentioned David Cook, then he won.
2. Why don’t you all Shut Up about this Josiah dude? Obviously, after about 3 person say the same exact thing…”I loved him! The show’s rigged! He should be on the show, still!”…it has no affect. Get over it. Not Top 24, 20, 16, 12, 10 and so on. He was done before it all started.
