Josiah was mediocre at best. I am so tired of people getting overlooked because someone else has a sob story. There were people dealing with death and disabled children on this show and everyone is shocked and shaken because car boy got cut? Please! The only reason his story seemed so sad is because he bawled like a baby every time the camera cut to him. Give me a break. Go judges! Cutting trite like him reminds me why I watch this show.
I have never written in about this show, but I am totally disappointed that Josiah did not make it. Who cares that he did not do well on the last audition. He is a green, young kid that could have been worked with during the show. He was the *only interesting different contestant and showed an amazing talent. I’m very disaapointed. He could have won.
Dahahahahahaha.

Oh, and Josiah was different, but not vocally talented. His vocals are less than spectacular. His rendition of Mika was ingratiating. I still like him and I realllllllly wanna see some independent agent get in touch with him and give him the break he deserves. But trying to sing on Idol each week would crush his soul.
I feel bad for Kevin, the senator kid (I think that’s his name?) as well. Simon was right, he was more deserving, if not stellar. Hopefully him and Cardin get some kind of break in their lifetimes.
And as far as the contenders now go, I concur with S.H. COMPLETELY:
David A. (the 16 y/o) is my favorite guy, with Danny N. a close second.
And as far as the girls go, I really like Brooke W., the nanny…with Syesha M. a close second.

I’m so sad Josiah was cut too, and wth, they let some other people on who you couldn’t even compare to Josiah’s talent.
Well, at least he got his name out on that show.
And if you check out his myspace, his music is just phenomenal.
Colton Berry kinda sux a lot. He may be a good singer, but his attitude is so fake and bitchy that no one will vote for him. Simon looked right past his bullshit and he saw who should have won. Randy and Paula made a huge mistake picking that fake pos to be in the top 24. If you know Colton and like him, you are obviously just as low and shallow as he is. he does not deserve to be in the top 24.
Sayesha all the way man. She’s my favorite girl and the Aussie is my favorite guy.
Honestly, I was very happy when Josiah got cut. There were so many other talented singers that were sent home in his place. He wasn’t that good a vocalist. Yes, he was a great musician who probably shouldn’t have auditioned for AI. You have to have a very spectacular voice, and honestly you have to WIN AI or not expect a career. Anyways, here’s my prediction for the top 12: 1) David Archuleta (Even though he was on Star Search and lost to Tiffany Evans…who would probabaly win AI had she waited) 2) David Hernandez, 3) Chikezie Eze (He’ll need to give himself an easier name, though) 4) Danny Noriega (We’ll see if the gay vote rallies behind him)…The last 2 guys are a toss-up because I haven’t seen the other guys enough. Now, for the girls! Definite top twelvers: 1) Asia’h Epperson (Don’t she sound like Keyshia Cole?) 2) Ramiele Mulabay 3) Amanda Overmeyer (She sounds like Janis Joplin, and I agree with Randy that singers like her could be big again) 4) Joanne Borgella (Big but oh so talented…and sexy!) 5) Syesha Mercado 6) Carly Smithson.
The girls above are pretty much locked unless they BLOW in the semi-finals. We’ll see what happens.
I am 40, My son and I really like Josiah right from the forst authentic note and felt like he was the only person in the group with substance, A Mozart in the middle of a marching band if you will. The kid has the IT factor, whatever IT is. He is just so compelling and owns every lyric he sings…one to look out for…
i agree with Craig Monroe. Samantha Sidley was my favorite one. she had a really good voice, in my opionion better than any of the other idols. and she was really hot.

Oh yeah, “not a hater”, I completely agree. Colton is clear first week elimination material, haha. It’s not the fact that his singing was completely average (although that’ll clearly play a part), but it’s the fact that, like you said, if he is really that smug, he’ll be a turn-off. Go…Garrett…hahaha. Whoever you are….

I strongly think David Archuletta will go VERY far in this competition. He has got awesome talents in his voice and I admire his ability to stand out among hundreds of people to sing his heart out, not to mention that he has a paralysed vocal cord. That kind of perservering spirit is definitely commendable and admirable…all the best to him…:)

I think that Josiah was a great singer! he was also very cute! i think tht it was a very BIG mistake to take him off the show. i always felt bad 4 him cause he cried.

Are these shows live? If not when are they taped. Randy Jackson was on Letterman last night and I know he tapes his show at 5pm est and there was no way Randy could get back to Cali for the show

1. I’m surprised that no one even mentioned David Cook, then he won.
2. Why don’t you all Shut Up about this Josiah dude? Obviously, after about 3 person say the same exact thing…”I loved him! The show’s rigged! He should be on the show, still!”…it has no affect. Get over it. Not Top 24, 20, 16, 12, 10 and so on. He was done before it all started.
