David Archuleta’s Vocal Coach on The Early Show - Video
David Archuleta’s vocal coach, Dean Kaelin, was on The Early Show this morning talking about the reports that David’s father, Jeff, has been banned from rehearsals by American Idol. He said that in the six years since he started working with David, he’s never seen anything amiss with the family and he also claims that none of the allegations are true (for Idol OR Star Search) and added that Jeff wasn’t banned at all. Instead, his explanation is that American Idol asked Jeff to not be back there in order to be more fair to David Cook and Syesha Mercado who do not have someone behind-the-scenes providing guidance and support. Do you believe that?
I don’t remember any of the other teens having these kinds of issues with Idol? Honestly, I’m not perfect so if you can remember Jordin Sparks or Sanjaya Malakar’s parents causing such a stir, please remind me.

I would like to get in contact with the vocal coach so he can help my 9year old daughter. She has been performing since the age of four. You can view some of her videos on the wibsite.
