American Idol’s Melinda Doolittle is Going to Africa!

I really like Melinda Doolittle and I hope she succeeds at everything she does from now on. Here’s a little story I read yesterday:
Melinda Doolittle may not have realized her dream of winning American Idol, but she is fulfilling another one of her dreams: going to Africa! As a part of Idol Gives Back, Melinda is traveling to Zambia on June 28 with Malaria No More to assist in the delivery of 500,000 bed nets to at risk-populations. This trip represents the first distribution of funds contributed by viewers of American Idol, who donated more than $70 million during the Idol Gives Back charity special. “I am very excited to show the impact the viewers of American Idol have had through their help and support,” Melinda said. Melinda will also be giving the gift of song as a live performance is also part of the day’s program — luckily Simon Cowell won’t be in attendance!
Lots of luck, Melinda! Can’t wait to hear all about it! This is an extremely worthy cause.

LOL…Sorry Gerri I was just making a reference to Paris Hilton with her so called changed ways and wants to help people but instead she took a trip to Maui…but whatever…Melinda is the bomb…a true Saint in her own way
