American Idol’s Phil Stacey Shoots Music Video

by Jeanne on February 16th, 2008

phil-stacey-01-2007-04-17 American Idol season six finalist, Phil Stacey, is preparing for the release of his new album (which is expected to be in stores on April 29, 2008).  It’s a couple weeks later than was originally planned but Phil said:  “It has always been my first priority to make the album I have promised the fans, and I needed this extra studio time.”  Fair enough.  I can’t wait to see what Phil has on that CD!

The debut single, “If You Didn’t Love Me” was written by Wendell Mobley, Jason Sellers and Rascal Flatts’ Gary LeVox.  Reality TV Magazine reports that Phil has shot the video for the single which was directed by Roman White who also did the videos for Carrie Underwood’s “Before He Cheats” and “So Small.”

I am pretty excited for Phil.  I hope the album is everything he wants it to be and more!

I always liked Phil’s voice. It sounds like he’s going for a country album although I would have liked to hear him do something a little more soft rock. Either way, glad to hear that he is getting to put an album out there.

Phil performed a private sessions for the military at McChord AFB in WA and it was amazing!! He is such a down to earth person and really loves his fans and what he does. I love the video and can’t wait for the album to come out!
