Are You Ready For Season 7 of American Idol?
January 15, 2008 by Jeanne
Tonight is the night!!!! Are you as excited as I am? I will be back tonight liveblogging (as best I can during the audition phase) and can’t wait to hear what you guys have to say!
As a side note, I know some of you have sent me some emails that I haven’t returned yet but I’ve been inundated with an unexpected number of emails for the past little while. I’m slowly getting through it all so please be patient
Talk to you all later tonight!!!

Let the games begin:)
I have no intention of watching AI this season on any king of regular basis, especially the opening episodes where all they show is people who obviously cannot sing.
After they finally chose the top 12 then I will listen to see if anyone is worth following and then I will only check in periodically.
I will never ever vote again as the show is rigged, if not by phone lines then by the fact that the judges, by their comments pimp their favorites and then try to persuade the viewing public into voting their way.
AI is really a big joke now, especially after last year’s Sanjaya debacle.
Ruben, Fantasia, Taylor and Jordin all have good voices but clearly they were not the best of their seasons by a long shot.
The only legitimate winner since season one’s Kelly Clarkson has been Carrie Underwood.
AI has lost all its credibility as far as being a show to find the best vocalist.
I won’t invest my time, emotions and energy into voting for someone anymore because in the end it is who the producers and the judges want and that is so stated in the closing credits.
psbintl… if you won’t invest your time, emotions, and energy then why did you take at least 10 minutes to type that HUGE & BORING ! explaination ?!!?!?!?!! if you don’t like idol, then let it go. we here, do like american idol. so buh bye !
LOL….Bring it on Jeanne! Even though last year was a mess, I’m happy for Jordin and Blake and looking forward to see the drama this year.
This season should be interesting if they are allowed to use instruments. Plus with the writers strike, all we have is reality TV!
Xomegg- lol…you said what I was thinking as I was reading it….
We are all entitled to voice an opinion here. Why the personal attack? Was that necessary?
Jeanne asked us to post regarding this subject, so I did.
I am glad you still enjoy the show, am I not entitled to share how I feel too?
Happy to see some of my favorite “Stalker Babies” on here. Make sure to be nice, guys.
Bring on the competition and the comments!
Thanks, psbintl, for letting me know how you feel. I have been wondering if others would avoid the show since I considered skipping this season (but, ultimately, couldn’t stay away!).
I feel your pain, Psbintl. I also have a hard time every season with how the judges do seem to “pimp” they’re favorites and that’s part of why every year, I tell myself that next time, I’ll stay away. I usually never agree with the winners of American Idol. However, I, like Jeanne have a hard time staying away, lol.
This year I’m hoping that the “Sanjayas” of the world stay away and stop taking up the space of actual potential Idol winners.
Lauren! Welcome back! I know, we seem like AI junkies in a way…last year we all got so upset with the whole Sanjaya scandal and swore we wouldn’t watch this season but….low and behold we couldn’t stay away! Haha…
psbintl–of course you have the right to voice your opinion here, after all this is what this whole thing is about. Sometimes poeple’s emotions get the best of them and they in turn write an intense comment but don’t sweat it, just shake it off and keep going…don’t worry be happy…it’s all good
Jeanne- “stalker Babies”…LOL…cute…I guess that’s what we are! Haha I love it!
