Australian Idol Anthony Callea and Tim Campbell Dating

Australian Idol cutie, Anthony Callea, is definitely dating former Home and Away actor, Tim Campbell. The Herald Sun is reporting that Campbell confirmed the romance to Vega’s breakfast team yesterday.
“There was stuff written in the paper a while ago . . . and actually Anthony and I are a bit of an item at the moment,” Campbell said.
“The question was asked a while ago and we weren’t, but we have gotten to a point where we are very happy together.”
Even Idol host (and Campbell’s manager) Ian “Dicko” Dickson was surprised: “That’s the first I have heard you actually say that you are,” Dicko said.

Here’s a video of Anthony and Tim singing a duet from the musical RENT (”What You Own”) at an Australian telethon a few months back. The two were about to embark on a month long staging of RENT in Perth with Anthony in the role of Mark and Tim taking the role of Roger. Note that they had only recently met and were NOT dating at this point. Even back then, you could tell they made a great couple though.

Good on them they are both gorgeous young men and a couple of sweeties. I am happy that they felt comfortable to say they are in a relationship and now there will be no more speculation in the media.

well i would like to say it came as of a big shock to me. l have never thought that anthony or tim could be gay guys because they are both really nice and good looking. l have always loved anthony since australian idol he has such a beautiful voice. And also tim iam such a big fan of home and away too it will be a shock for the viewers. Well good luck to both of u anthony and tim….

Anthony and Tim are both great guys and very talented young men. Anthony is blessed with his glorious gift of song and Tim is an established actor, and like Anthony, he has now entered the world of musical theatre. They are both excellent entertainers, and I wish them all the happiness and success they deserve, both personally and professionally.
They are a couple of beautiful people and I’m happy for them both. They will have lots of laughs together, both have such great sense of humour.
