Australian Idol Guy Sebastian Engaged

Australian Idol winner, Guy Sebastian, reportedly took his long-time girlfriend, Jules Egan, on vacation over the holidays and surprised her by proposing!!!

Apparently, he took her for a long walk on the beach (I’m already happy for her since it’s cold here in Canada!) and then, after dropping to one knee, presented her with a white-gold ring (set with 140 diamonds) and asked her to be his wife.  That sounds terribly romantic but I guess it all depends on the people (remember Ben Mulroney, host of Canadian Idol, proposed at a deli counter recently?).

I also read on Oz Music Scene that the couple have been together for 8 years and met through the Assemblies of God Paradise Community Church.
