American Idol season 8 runner up, Adam Lambert, was on the red carpet earlier this week for the premiere of 2012.  His song “Time for Miracles” appears on the soundtrack (watch the video!) and I really couldn’t be happier for him.  I think the song is going to do pretty well and it’s definitely perfect for the movie. American Idol winner, Carrie Underwood, has released her newest album, Play On, and from what I’ve heard of it, I would predict that it’s going to make her fans happy and will probably attract some new ones.  I really like “Cowboy Casanova” but I adore “Mama’s Song” and “Temporary Home.”  I’m so excited for Carrie since it seems like she’s found yet another layer of her talent which almost seems impossible considering how amazing she already was. Last week, Adam Lambert revealed his new single “For Your Entertainment” from his upcoming album of the same title and I have listened to it several times over the weekend and I seriously cannot decide if I like it or not.  On the one hand, it’s got a decent beat but then the actual melody isn’t working for me.  I love Adam and I think that “Time For Miracles” from the 2012 soundtrack is great but I’m just not sure about this single.
