I’m an American viewer so I might get flamed.
But, IMHO Mitch is this far for two reasons:

1. Eastern Canadian voting-Mitch reminds me of Jasmine Trias who got far cuz of Hawaiian voting and not Talent.

2. http://www.votefortheworst.com has Mitch’s back

But alas, this doesn’t matter THEO will blow MITCH away on the finals. If by some cold day in hell Mitch wins over Theo ZOMG!

If that happens Theo and you read this. Come down to the US and marry me then compete and win AMERICAN IDOL!

Yes we are very proud of who we are and if everyone is saying that Mitch is not talented at all then why is he in the top 2 doesnt make any sense to me… i think that shows right there to everyone that he is extremely talented and btw people we are not comparing him to Justin Timberlake or any of the guy pop singers cause if we put justin and all those guys on canadian idol Mitch would wipe them away its just all their computerized music that is catchy and people don’t realize how terrible they voices are. GO MITCH!!!

I would never put down our easterners. My husbands family came from Newfoundland and my daughter lives there now. They should be proud of their talented contestants. I just don’t think Mitch is that talented.

I am so sorry to hear how people put down the people from down east….they are proud people who will do anything for anyone where ever they live…It makes me proud that I am a Newfoundlander and it makes me more proud to see how we stand by the people of our province…I think their is a lot of jealousy there and people just want to be like us..but I am sorry!!!!you are not
