Performance #5 – Carly Rae Jepsen
Carly sang “Georgia On My Mind” and it was good. I like Carly’s uniqueness but I felt like she was kind of losing herself over the last few weeks but this performance was a lot better. She really made the song her own and I think she brought some emotion to it.

I have to agree with you. I was beginning to despair about Carly Rae, but she brought the magic back last night. I hope she continues to show her vulnerable side, because that’s when she really connects to the song and the audience.

shes really changing this show up.
Id love to hear her sing some more Feist. but what ever the case she makes the best choices.
She likes good music. She sings good music well. I have been fans of Gregs and hers since the start of this season.
If she keeps her choices to be Feist/Broken Social Scene/any indie – I will adore her even moreso. >_>
weirdgrrl – good to know that I am not alone on this. I was really worried about Carly for a bit there. Hopefully this is the beginning of a good streak for her.
Ryan – I gotta agree. Carly is changing this show up. I felt that way about Tyler and Liam too so I was sad when they got eliminated
Dwight – I kinda wish Carly would go with indie type music instead. Not that I’m hating on her but I think that some of her song choices have been better than others.
carly rae is my idol of this season. she is inspiring me to think of different songs to perfrom in competitions that i enter. i love her style and she is so unique. i hope, if i am aver on canadian idol, people will see me as i see carly rae.

im entering the comber fair, and im trying to find an instrumental version of one of the songs she sang–inside and out, the original (the bee gees) but im having a hard time. she is going to win i hope.
She is sooo hot!!! so I am gonna vote for her until the end!
