Carrie Underwood Crushes on Keith Urban?

Do you feel like American Idol winner, Carrie Underwood, is making one bad comment after another? First there was all the chatter about Jessica Simpson and the fact that her ex (Jess’ current boyfriend) Tony Romo still calls her (she claimed, earlier this week, that she didn’t mean to hurt Jessica by saying that…).
Then she told TV Guide that she loses respect for celebrities who publicly endorse presidential candidates. Ummm… I’m sorry but I think that it is a little harsh to say that she has less respect for the people who are brave enough to campaign for the candidate you believe in but that’s just me…
Now she’s saying that getting a dog might be better than dating and that the very married, Keith Urban is “really hot.” Since she was on tour with him earlier this year, I wonder if it’s too wise to say something like that. I know that it’s probably harmless and innocent but, like the Tony/Jessica situation, I’m not sure she was thinking of the woman in Keith’s life, Nicole Kidman, who has had to endure tales of his infidelity and may jump to conclusions since Keith and Carrie were on tour together earlier this year…
I love Carrie, so don’t get me wrong. I just don’t know about the stuff she says sometimes.

Someone in the audience said Keith Urban is hot and Carrie laughed and agreed. That’s all. Then she went on to talk about all the great people she’s toured with this year, including Josh Turner, Jason Michael Carroll, and now Little Big Town.
Carrie could’ve worded her comment about celebrity political endorsements better but she was probably referring to gasbags like Toby Keith and John Rich who use their political endorsements for media attention and get WAY too much attention for it. Her main point is that celebrity endorsements should not get in the way of people researching and thinking for themselves about the issues. That’s getting lost amidst people’s attempts to drum up controversy.
yeah you have to look at the context in which she said it, i have been to several concerts in which she takes that time to talk about and thank all the guys she has been on tour with….keith always gets a great audience reaction like “he’s hot” and carrie just laughs and agrees..no big deal
Carrie needs to use the edit button on her mouth. She just blabbers on sometimes without thinking, and then gets all up in arms when people get upset by it.
I don’t mind saying I think Keith Urban is really hot, too! I also think Carrie is a doll and does not have a mean bone in her body. If Tony still calls her, so what? I never had an ex-boyfriend that I did not remain friends with long after we stopped dating. Live and let live.
i have to agree with blueblood and gaby. & Debbie. and disagree with this article & Cherie. Carrie’s amazing. it’s not a crime to have opinions. they aren’t hurting anyone. and wow, people look wayyy to far into what she says sometimes. i <3 carrie.
oh, and i can’t stand jessica simpson, she’s such a carrie-wannabe. EWW.
the election remarks were unwise but the keith urban comments were fine…..
