Carrie Underwood Still Adjusting to Fame

Celebrities out and about for 'Fashion Rocks' and 'Stand Up to Cancer' in New York City

American Idol winner, Carrie Underwood, is a superstar but, she’s still getting used to all the fame and recognition.  In a recent interview, she explains that she’s not the type to do something “on a whim” and that her mom had to pressure her to try out for Idol in the first place!

She also says that, her journalism degree has helped her thwart the efforts of reporters who try to pull one over on her:  “Sometimes (reporters) try to get me in trouble and I’m better at answering questions because I’ve been on the other end,” she said.

Can you imagine, though, what it must be like for a girl from Checotah, who doesn’t like to be too adventurous, to not only win American Idol but also become one of the best-selling female country artists ever!?  That’s just incredible.  How do you ever get used to that?
