Jennifer Hudson to Star in "The Secret Life of Bees"

American Idol finalist, Jennifer Hudson, has been added to the cast of "The Secret Life of Bees." Variety is reporting that, along with Jennifer, Queen Latifah and Sophie Okonedo have been signed to play three eccentric, beekeeping sisters in Fox Searchlight’s upcoming project. Dakota Fanning and Alicia Keys are in negotiations to join the film.
I don’t know about anyone else but I think Jennifer is getting the ultimate revenge against a show that rejected her. In fact, I sometimes even forget that she got her start on Idol!
I can’t wait to see her in this and the Sex and the City movie!

I don’t want to stand on ceremony here – or come off sounding like Simon, but the public votes for people to stay on AI. We didn’t vote for her enough to keep her. If the voting was like Survivor when you vote to get people off the show, it would be easier to say someone was not liked (or whatever), but with the voting system like it is, we can’t. Personally, I think she FANTASTIC and she was wonderful in DreamGirls. She did get her start on AI and I would hope she’s gracious to know that.

Jennifer should only be thankful to GOD who gave her the gift, the determination and believe in herself to go out there and try out on American Idol.. There millions of talent people in the world that don’t believe in there self or have the nerve’s to ever go out there and try to follow their dreams.
I really must have a devil’s advocate gene or something.
Jennifer said taht being on Idol opened doors for her. One door it opened was the one where she got to audition for Dream Girls. That audition might have been out of her reach before if no one had heard of her before.
This does not mean she does not deserve everything she gets and not that she did not work very hard before and after Idol. She worked in theater for years and did meet some influential people in that capacity. All I am saying here is that Jennifer, herself, stated being on idol helped get her the audition.
I don’t think it is revenge, but talent rising to the top like cream.

Owe Thanks to GOD first and then to idol because if it wasnt for those two jen wouldnt even exist people did not vote for her it was not simon decision and to the revenge thing she still havent made a real music cd so simon do know what he is talking about when he say most of the things he says not being rude or anything he just didnt think she was the best that season and he was right . Good for her that AI brought her to light for everything she is doing she should thank them regardless of her accomplishments and her rude attitude will never make it in the music business maybe acting is best for her
