Kelly Clarkson was a guest on So You Think You Can Dance this week and Access Hollywood caught up with her to ask her how she felt about appearing on the show.

The original American Idol winner explained that she loves all kinds of dance styles and said that she grew up learning hip hop and said it might be cool to learn ballroom dancing.  I have always wanted to learn too!  She made it clear, though, that she would never agree to be on Dancing With the Stars (she actually said “hell no” and that she would look like “a big ol’ fool”). 

She also talked about her duet with Chris Daughtry, her weight and the death of Michael Jackson.  It was a fun interview so if you’re a Kelly fan, you will love it!

The original American Idol winner, Kelly Clarkson, was on MuchMusic’s Much On Demand (for those of you not in Canada, it’s similar to MTV’s now defunct Total Request Live) where she was asked about the whole Perez Hilton vs. Will.i.am controversy – Perez alleges that he was assaulted by the Black Eyed Peas’ front man and/or his manager and/or some security guards when he was in Toronto over the weekend to attend the MuchMusic Video Awards. From the footage that TMZ released, it seemed like Perez was the instigator but I digress…

Kelly, ever the outspoken woman that she is, had no sympathy of Perez.  She said that she’s been hit before and never made a video crying about it and she also said that “when you dish that much out, you better be able to take somethin’.”  She made it clear that she doesn’t condone violence but she basically voiced what everyone else has been saying – Perez had it coming.  It might not be right but it’s definitely predictable! 

Kelly Clarkson took to the stage at last night’s MuchMusic Video Awards last night where she sang “My Life Would Suck Without You” and I thought she sounded great.  It just reminded me of why she won American Idol in the first place – she’s got a great voice and I don’t care what anyone says about her weight, she actually looked pretty good to me during this show. 

Kelly Clarkson has been on a press tour in Australia this past week but a busy schedule and a rainy day didn’t stop her from walking around and even checking out some of the local shopping.

It looks like the first American Idol winner had a great time in a joke shop and I don’t blame her.  I’m always such a sucker for those places.  I love all the gags and gizmos you find.  I wonder if she bought anything to bring home and play a trick on her friends.

The very first American Idol winner, Kelly Clarkson, has promoting her album All I Ever Wanted in Australis this past few days and she, of course, has been giving interviews with some of the local stations.

In a sit-down with Today Tonight, she talked a bit about fame and how she doesn’t really deal with it since she  lives in Texas and “people don’t care.”  That’s very interesting.  Since I like Kelly but I’m not an over-the-top fan, I’ve never checked in to where she’s been living and I love the fact that she still lives in Texas.  She also said (in a very “stating the obvious” moment) that she’s not really into fashion or reading gossip magazines.

Rapper, Jay-Z, had some things to say about the tour that he shared with American Idol winner, Kelly Clarkson.  "I had a ball!" Jay-Z wrote on the RapRadar blog about the concert that took place on Wednesday at the University of Arizona.

"On the show as well were Third Eye Blind and Kelly Clarkson — I thought that to be the oddest pairing EVER but, soon realized, it’s what I’ve always professed. There is NO such thing as BLACK music or WHITE music, only GOOD or BAD music.  It’s stupid cool to like things that are not like you, and that goes for outside of music," he wrote "If you’re an African American, you can have a Jewish friend.  I think concerts like this should happen more often — outside of the one or two festivals a year or ‘Zootopia.’ I’m putting that into the universe. Next up, Taylor Swift and Uncle Murda!"

Well, I’m glad he said that.  I have always felt that way and I’m so surprised when I encounter a person who only listens to music from one genre or ethnic group.  Music is music, it doesn’t need to have labels on it to be good.  I wish I had seen that show.  I bet it was great!

American Idol season one winner, Kelly Clarkson, performed two songs off of her new album All I Ever Wanted during her appearance on Saturday Night Live yesterday.  I have to say that, as a plus-size woman myself, I’m perfectly fine with Kelly’s weight but I do wish that she could find some more flattering clothing.  This blue shirt/dress/disaster did not look good on her in my opinion but I digress…

Kelly first performed “My Life Would Suck Without You” and I thought she sounded pretty good but one of her backup singers seemed to be struggling a little bit from what I could hear.

She also sang “I Do Not Hook Up” and I really like that song and was happy that it translated well in the live performance.  Watch and tell me what you think!

Kelly Clarkson talked to American Idol judge, Kara DioGuardi, in an interview that will air tonight on Entertainment Tonight about her weight.  She said: "I feel very fortunate coming from American Idol.  I was the biggest girl in the group.  I’ve always been thicker and millions of people voted for me," she continues. "People are born all different shapes and sizes. People have liked me this way."

She again kibboshed the rumors that she is a lesbian: "I went to Europe and it was in the press everywhere and I was like, ‘I don’t get it, was I sleep walking and kissed a girl and there’s a picture or something?’" she says. "Just because I’m single and don’t date a lot, that doesn’t make me a lesbian."

She also talked about what she is looking for in a man: "A confident guy that has his own thing going on. Anyone that can make me laugh. Guys are usually so nervous, they don’t talk. Every guy I’ve dated, I’ve worked with and we knew each other before."

This seems to be a year of comebacks for Kelly so, hopefully, her love life will be on the upswing as well.

The original American Idol winner, Kelly Clarkson, sang her new single “My Life Would Suck Without You” from her album All I Ever Wanted which was released yesterday.  She wore all black which was pretty flattering but there was something missing in her eyes (in my opinion). 

It was great to have her back on the show but, sometimes during the performance, she didn’t look like she wanted to be there.  It was as if the personality would start to come out but then she would just kinda stand there and sing.  Maybe it was nerves?  Maybe it was my imagination?  Anyway, the crowd seemed to really like it and that’s all that matters, right?

Kelly Clarkson was on Good Morning America and Live with Regis and Kelly yesterday morning (photo below is of her arriving at the latter) where she promoted the release of her new album All I Ever Wanted and performed “My Life Would Suck Without You.”
