Chace Crawford: Dating Carrie Underwood Was “Awesome”
June 19, 2009 by Jeanne
Nothing is worse than breaking up with someone in the public eye and then having them make derogatory comments about the time you spent together. Fortunately, Carrie Underwood doesn’t have to worry about that (at least yet). Former flame and Gossip Girl star, Chace Crawford, only had nice things to say.
Chace told People magazine the following: "I have nothing bad to say about that experience. It was awesome. I just didn’t know how to deal with it. I learned a ton about dating someone in that kind of spotlight. It was such a whirlwind, but no regrets."
The couple dated from July 2007 until March 2008 but mutually agreed to end the relationship.

American Idol 8 Finale Red Carpet Pictures
May 21, 2009 by Jeanne
There were so many stars on the red carpet last night for the American Idol season 8 finale that I wouldn’t even dream of trying to list them here.
Of course, there were the finalists, Kris Allen and Adam Lambert, along with the rest of the Top 13 and judges but the celebrities (and former contestants) came out in droves to see who would win the singing competition.
It looks like season four winner, Carrie Underwood, hurt her knee somehow since she’s got her “owie” all covered up with four Hello Kitty bandaids. She still managed to look absolutely fabulous!

Carrie Underwood on 2009 Maxim Hot 100
May 13, 2009 by Jeanne
American Idol season four winner, Carrie Underwood, is #60 on Maxim’s 2009 Hot 100 list. I don’t agree with most of the list (particularly the top 10) but good for Carrie for being recognized as a beautiful woman.

Carrie Underwood on “Most Beautiful” List
April 30, 2009 by Jeanne
American Idol winner, Carrie Underwood, has been named to People’s 2009 “Most Beautiful” list and it’s not hard to see why.
The modest beauty from Checotah, Oklahoma said that she doesn’t enjoy big events until after they are done: "I feel more beautiful when I see the pictures after. I’m like, ‘I wish I had felt like I looked like that when I was actually there.’" That’s better than me! I feel great at events or parties and then I see the pictures later and think “ugh, that’s what I looked like?”
Carrie is in good company on the “Most Beautiful” list. She joins First Lady Michelle Obama, Halle Berry, Robert Pattinson (Twilight), Freida Pinto (Slumdog Millionaire) and more. The special issue, featuring 100 famous faces, will hit newsstands tomorrow!

Carrie Underwood Talks to Oprah About Life
On tomorrow’s episode of Oprah, country singing superstar, Carrie Underwood, talks to the Queen of all media about her life in the spotlight.
"I do my grocery shopping kind of late at night” she revealed. “There’s nobody
really there. I can probably wash the makeup and I’m in a ponytail, glasses, and my sweatpants at the grocery store, and people won’t tell me, ‘Are you Carrie Underwood?’ They’ll say, ‘Wow, you look like Carrie Underwood.’ Because Carrie Underwood wouldn’t be at the Harris Teeter [at] 11:00 o’clock at night in her sweatpants."
She also talked about what it is like to be asked about the most personal parts of her life. When the topic turned to dating, Carrie said "It’s really strange. I mean, you’re under a microscope, and even if you start – you’re getting to know somebody, you just met them – they have you married off next week, you know what I mean? So it’s a little difficult and it’s a little difficult to know people’s intentions."
That has to be really frustrating. Imagine just getting to know someone and your every move is being scrutinized by the public. Carrie has been quietly dating NHL star, Mike Fisher, for several months but, aside from being spotted at a couple games (and even trying to hide at one), they’ve managed to keep the details of their relationship very quiet.

Carrie Underwood Wins Big at Academy of Country Music Awards
April 6, 2009 by Jeanne
Last night, American Idol winner, Carrie Underwood, took home the prize for “Entertainer of the Year” at the 44th Academy of Country Music Awards. The win ended Kenny Chesney’s four-year winning streak. She also won for “Top Female Vocalist.”
"I’ve had a lot of good moments in the past four years. This one takes the cake," a tearful Underwood said in accepting her “Entertainer of the Year” award. Then, when she was accepting her “Top Female Vocalist” award she said "I feel like I just won American Idol all over again."
Yay! I love that about Carrie! Some people win Idol and seem to want to shed the image as quickly as they can as if they believe that will help their career. Carrie always gives credit to the show that gave her the big break that she needed and I think she’s being rewarded.
Watch the video of the show-opener featuring Carrie, Brooks & Dunn, Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts and Sugarland.
Here’s the video of Carrie singing “I Told You So.” It was an absolutely beautiful performance. She was effortlessly incredible. Did her dress remind anyone of the one Kelly Clarkson wore on the cover of her My December album (see it here)?

Carrie Underwood and Randy Travis Duet - “I Told You So”
March 19, 2009 by Jeanne
American Idol winner (and Grand Ole Opry inductee), Carrie Underwood, returned during last night’s results show where she performed a duet with country music legend, Randy Travis. They sang “I Told You So” which is from Randy’s recently released album Told You So – The Ultimate Hits of Randy Travis.
I think Carrie did a great job with the classic song while Randy seemed to hit a little of that curse that I find many celebrities face on the Idol stage. It was still good but not a great as Randy usually can be. Also, can I just say that, while I liked Carrie’s dress, that thing in her hair was both distracting and unflattering.

Carrie Underwood Cheers on Hockey Boyfriend - Video
I am an avid hockey fan so I can’t help but love the enthusiasm of American Idol winner, Carrie Underwood. She is reportedly dating Ottawa Senators player, Mike Fisher, and was spotted at a game on March 11, 2009 celebrating after he scored the game-winning goal in overtime to lift the Sens over the visiting Tampa Bay Lightning. I found the video of Fisher scoring the goal and, at the end, you can see Carrie jumping up and down and hugging someone in the box (I think it looks like she says “my boy.” Here’s the video:
Happy 26th Birthday to Carrie Underwood!
March 10, 2009 by Jeanne
Today, American Idol season 4 winner, Carrie Underwood, celebrates her 26th birthday. I think she was just 21 when she auditioned for the show and so much has happened in her life since then. I hope 2009 is a great year for her and that she gets all that she has hoped for! Happy birthday, Carrie!
The country music superstar also covered Motley Crue’s “Home Sweet Home,” which will serve as the “goodbye” song on this season of American Idol.
