So, what did everyone think of those eliminations on American Idol last night? I have to say that I was really shocked by the elimination of Alexandrea Lushington and Alaina Whitaker. While I doubt that either of them was going to win, I think they deserved spots in the Top 12 maybe with Kady […]

It was an emotional results show on American Idol tonight. Tears, protests, shockers, etc… It was definitely one of the most surprising and sad results shows I have ever seen. Here are some photos from the night and, of course, videos of the eliminations.
More after the jump!

Asia’h Epperson was a cheerleader in middle school and high school. She said it has helped her on Idol. She sang “All By Myself” and she struggled on some notes for sure. I like her and it was a gutsy choice but I was not thoroughly impressed. Randy said she did a really good […]

Kady Malloy has been singing opera since she was about 9 years old. She sang “Magic Man” her movements are kind of creeping out and this singing is pretty horrible, sorry. Randy said that it didn’t work. Paula said that she sounded great on the power notes. Simon said that he is frustrated because […]

Alexandrea Lushington was the poster child for the Atlanta fire department. She said the national anthem at Ground Zero a couple months after 9/11. She sang one of my favorite songs and I thought it was good but not great. Randy said it was too safe. Paula said that she made it her own. […]

Alaina Whitaker said that she doesn’t like the food on her plate to touch each other and goes to extremes to keep it all separately. She sang “Hopelessly Devoted to You” and it’s good but she is having some control issues with the bigger notes. Randy didn’t think it was a good song choice. […]

Amanda Overmyer talked about how she is a book worm and loves reading biographies. She likes to get educated, she said. She sang “Carry On Wayward Son” and - Wow! This is terrible! I don’t think she can hear herself. Randy said it wasn’t the right song for her. Paula said that Amanda has […]

Kristy Lee Cook is a real tomboy and enjoys fishing, softball and sports. She is a real outdoorsy type of girl. She sang “You’re No Good” and it’s good but I’m not freaking out about it. It was kind of bland (especially since the song is so repetitive). Randy said it was good and […]

Ramiele Malubay has been doing Filipino and Polynesian cultural dances for twelve years! She sang “Don’t Leave Me This Way” and, I liked her singing but I am always worried about how disco songs go over with audiences. It’s hard to show off your voice with a song like this. Oh well. Randy said […]

Brooke White said that she went to beauty school but discovered music and dropped out. She sang “You’re so Vain” and it was good. I mean, she sounds like Carly Simon so it was a logical choice. I knew she was going to sing this song! Randy liked it and asked if she was […]
