David Archuleta is at home in Utah and he sat down to make an adorable vlog for all of us fans! He talked about what he’s been up to and he mentioned the ice skating special, Kaleidoscope, which will air on Thanksgiving Day and features performances by Katharine McPhee and skaters Scott Hamilton, Nancy Kerrigan and more. Sounds fun!

He also talked about how his aunt surprised him by taking him to a John Mayer concert which made him really happy since he has been trying to get to one of his shows for a while. I’m so jealous – I love John Mayer!!!

Allison Iraheta Releases “Friday I’ll Be Over You” Video

Have you seen the video for Allison Iraheta’s single “Friday I’ll Be Over You” yet? Honestly, I wasn’t completely sold on the song when I first heard it but the music video actually won me over. Maybe it’s just that I’m still stuck in the 80s but I thought it was campy and cheesy and great at the same time.

Kellie Pickler’s Acoustic Country Music Hall of Fame Performance

Self.com put up a video of American Idol finalist, Kellie Pickler, performing at the Country Music Hall of Fame last week. I loved that it was acoustic since it really did feel personal and intimate. Kellie was dressed down and relaxed so I think any of her fans would love the video. Plus, she talked a little bit about the experience and about life as a performer. Definitely check out this quick, but cute, video!

Kellie Pickler Looks Great as a Redhead

Kellie Pickler was spotted on the red carpet at the 2009 CMA Awards last night sporting red hair instead of her signature blonde locks. "This is my big reveal, I guess," she says. "Around town, nobody recognizes me. Even my grandpa didn’t know who I was the other day. He walked right by me." She said that country music superstar, Dolly Parton, also didn’t recognize her. "She was like, ‘Well, I didn’t know it was you!’"

Syesha Mercado Beginning “Dreamgirls” Run

On November 22, 2009, former American Idol contestant, Syesha Mercado, will be embarking on a national tour of the musical, Dreamgirls.

Syesha has been cast in the role of Deena, which was brought to the big screen by Beyonce Knowles a couple years ago. Of course, Syesha’s fellow Idol alum, Jennifer Hudson, is probably most associated with the film version since she won an Oscar for her magnificent portrayal of Effie White.

Syesha was on the Wendy Williams show last week. Here’s a video of her appearance.

Adam Lambert at “2012” Premiere

American Idol season 8 runner up, Adam Lambert, was on the red carpet earlier this week for the premiere of 2012. His song “Time for Miracles” appears on the soundtrack (watch the video!) and I really couldn’t be happier for him. I think the song is going to do pretty well and it’s definitely perfect for the movie.

I also spotted some great images over on MJ’s Big Blog from the event which I’m sure all of you Glambert fans will enjoy!

David Archuleta “Your Eyes Don’t Lie” in Atlantic City

David Archuleta performed at Trump’s Taj Mahal resort in Atlantic City over the weekend and there’s a huge collection of great videos on YouTube but I had to pick his performance of “Your Eyes Don’t Lie” to share. David gets better and better on stage every time I see him and it’s hard to believe he is that same timid kid who we saw on American Idol.

Carrie Underwood on Good Morning America

American Idol winner, Carrie Underwood, performed on Good Morning America this morning and she looked and sounded amazing. Did you see her?

Do You Like Adam Lambert’s “For Your Entertainment”

Last week, Adam Lambert revealed his new single “For Your Entertainment” from his upcoming album of the same title and I have listened to it several times over the weekend and I seriously cannot decide if I like it or not. On the one hand, it’s got a decent beat but then the actual melody isn’t working for me.

I love Adam and I think that “Time For Miracles” from the 2012 soundtrack is great but I’m just not sure about this single.

Adam Lambert Colorful Cover Art

Adam Lambert has revealed the cover art for his upcoming album For Your Entertainment which is slated for a November 2009 release date. It’s got a real 80s flair to it but I’m not sure that I like it too much. It’s okay, I guess, but I was expecting a little more.
