Paula Abdul To Be Guest Judge on “So You Think You Can Dance”
September 27, 2009 by Jeanne
Nigel Lythgoe tweeted that Paula Abdul has agreed to be a guest judge on So You Think You Can Dance. Nigel wrote: “I saw Paula @ the “Power of Women” event yesterday. I asked her to come on SYTYCD again and she said she would. I hope she means it ?”
I hope she does as well! I think she fits in more with a dance show than a singing competition anyway since she’s got so much experience as a dancer and choreographer. I loved her on American Idol but, hopefully, this will lead to bigger and better things for her!
Paula Abdul Almost Falls, Parodies Ellen
September 18, 2009 by Jeanne
During her stint as the host of last night’s VH1 Divas show, Paula Abdul disappointed viewers by lip-synching her opening number “Straight Up” and she wobbled a bit during the dance segments but she seemed to redeem herself with a pretty funny parody of Ellen DeGeneres.
Before anyone jumps to any conclusions about there being any animosity about Ellen taking over Paula’s old judge’s seat on American Idol, Paula clarified that she had nothing but love for the daytime talk show host.

Would You Watch Paula Abdul as a Talk Show Host?
Incredibly, Paula Abdul has managed to remain fairly silent about everything that has been happening since she shockingly announced her departure from American Idol on Twitter. In her first real interview since dropping that little bombshell, Paula spoke to TV Guide in an attempt to clear the air.
She claims that she didn’t leave because of her reportedly lower salary. “I stand on principle where many people stand on money,” Paula said.
Would she ever come back to the show? “That’s a hard question to answer right now. I mean, I don’t think I can answer that right now.”

Michael Johns Speaks Up for Paula Abdul
August 22, 2009 by Jeanne
Michael Johns has become a good friend of Paula Abdul’s since his time on American Idol and he’s weighed in on her departure from the show. According to E! Online, Johns said: "She’s not asking for what [Ryan] Seacrest is getting paid. She’s asking for $20 million over three years, so I think she totally deserves that money. She’s a huge reason people tune in to the show…I think Fox should pull their finger out and pay her what she deserves."
Apparently, she confided all of this to Johns who seems more than happy to spill the beans. If what …read more
Mary Murphy: “There Could be a Catfight Between Me and Paula”
August 17, 2009 by Jeanne
I know that a lot of people have been talking about the possibility of Paula Abdul being on So You Think You Can Dance and I’m finding some of the comments of judge, Mary Murphy, very interesting.
Murphy said: "She might be sitting next to me this season, you never know. I’m not sure America’s ready for that. There could be a catfight between me and Paula—or a dance fight! I know one thing for sure, I could definitely beat her at the tango, quickstep and cha-cha. She’d probably get me in hip-hop, I’d have to say.”

David Cook on Acting, Paula Abdul and Donating Pants to Hard Rock
August 14, 2009 by Jeanne
According to E!, American Idol winner, David Cook, has said that he would like to get into acting while he was doing a CD signing a the Hard Rock Cafe at Universal CityWalk in Los Angeles.
"It’s another kind of way to be creative, so I’m very on board for that." I think that it could actually work, to be honest. I think that David is an intense person and he’s had a lot of life experience which totally comes out in his music. I’m sure he could translate into something great on the big screen or television. I hope he …read more
Paula Abdul “Ugly,” “Dancing,” Why She Left “Idol” and More!
It’s a veritable Paula Abdul frenzy all over the internet. You seriously can’t go to a site without some Paula-related story popping up at some point in the day. It’s insane but you gotta admit that the lady sure does know how to generate buzz!
There’s talk that Paula could be a guest on Ugly Betty. EW.com says that the details are being kept a secret but that she might play a new temp at Mode who becomes friendly with Amanda (Becki Newton). I guess that could work but I have to admit that I’ve lost interest in the show. Any …read more
Flashback Friday – Great Paula Moments and Poll: Will You Miss Her?
It’s Flashback Friday and I thought it would be great to pay tribute to Paula Abdul, who is most likely not returning to American Idol. I’m actually pretty sad about it and I hope that they can resolve this and find a way to bring her back but I’m losing hope by the day.
Before we get into the goodies, I thought I’d put up a quick poll to find out how you guys are feeling about this sudden change to the judges’ table. If none of these answers works for you, please feel free to leave me a comment!

Paula Abdul Reportedly Turned Down 30% Raise
August 5, 2009 by Jeanne
I have no idea what is true or false any more but CBS is reporting that Paula Abdul left American Idol after producers offered her a 30% raise! Wow!
CBS News correspondent, Priya David, is quoted as saying the following: "This all came down to money… [Abdul] was being offered a 30 percent pay raise that amounted to an eight-figure deal, but that, apparently, wasn’t enough."
The article speculates that this turn of events has occurred because Kara DioGuardi was offered a contract (maybe Paula thought Kara wouldn’t be sticking around?) and could all be part of negotiating hardball.
EW.com writer, Michael …read more
