American Idol host, Ryan Seacrest, was spotted leaving a cooking class in Hollywood Hills.  He wasn’t the only celebrity learning to cook.  Katy Perry and rumored boyfriend, Russell Brand, were also seen leaving the event that was held at a private home.
I wonder who Ryan is hoping to impress.  I guess he could be learning to make some food for himself but part of me hopes this means he’s leaving his bachelor lifestyle behind and is getting ready to settle down.  He’s good friends with Simon Cowell, though, so if he uses him as an example, Ryan will be single …read more

American Idol judge, Simon Cowell, threw himself a lavish party to celebrate his 50th birthday over the weekend and his guests were pretty amazing.  Of course, friends and co-workers, Ryan Seacrest and Randy Jackson were in attendance, as was ex-girlfriend, Terri Seymour.
Among the other invitees were celebrity chef, Gordon Ramsay, former supermodel, Naomi Campbell, and Simon’s own mother, Julie Cowell, who looked very, very elegant for the occasion.

It’s Flashback Friday and I thought it would be great to pay tribute to Paula Abdul, who is most likely not returning to American Idol.  I’m actually pretty sad about it and I hope that they can resolve this and find a way to bring her back but I’m losing hope by the day.

As if he doesn’t host enough events, Ryan Seacrest has signed on for the Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities Hearts and Hands Gala on Saturday, October 24.  The American Idol host is from Atlanta so it makes sense that he’d like to give back to his hometown for this black-tie affair which will include live entertainment and a silent auction.

We all knew that Ryan Seacrest was going to get a big deal but Fox’s $45 million dollar offer is a little better than I was expecting.  It’s only over a three year period so the American Idol host will be making $15 million per year.  That’s the most any reality TV show host has made.
Talk about a raise – this more than triples his previous salary where he was earning less than $5 million per season.

While the rest of the world seems to be getting poorer and poorer by the day, stars like Ryan Seacrest are in negotiations to secure a “megadeal” when he signs his contract extension with 19 Entertainment.
The Hollywood Reporter claims that he will get a raise from his $5 million pay check he got last season (it’s about $100,000 per episode).
I think that Ryan does a great job on Idol so this news doesn’t bother me *too* much.  I think it’s hard to keep a live show running smoothly and he’s a really big part of that.

Kellie Pickler looked gorgeous at the 2009 CMT Music Awards last night in both her red carpet dress and the outfit she wore during her performance. 

She performed “Best Days Of Your Life” and was nominated for Female Video of the Year and Video of the Year for “Don’t You Know You’re Beautiful” but ended up losing both times to her close friend, Taylor Swift, for her hugely popular “Love Story.”

A lot of celebrities seem to like Madeo in Los Angeles but I’m not sure if it’s because of the food, drinks or atmosphere.  Have any of you ever been there?

There were so many stars on the red carpet last night for the American Idol season 8 finale that I wouldn’t even dream of trying to list them here. 

Of course, there were the finalists, Kris Allen and Adam Lambert, along with the rest of the Top 13 and judges but the celebrities (and former contestants) came out in droves to see who would win the singing competition.

Can you believe the eighth season of American Idol will be over tonight?  It started with a great recap of the best judges moments from this year which, of course, included some clips of Kara DioGuardi.  I never realized how much she said “sweetie!”  Too funny!
