American Idol judge, Simon Cowell, threw himself a lavish party to celebrate his 50th birthday over the weekend and his guests were pretty amazing.  Of course, friends and co-workers, Ryan Seacrest and Randy Jackson were in attendance, as was ex-girlfriend, Terri Seymour.
Among the other invitees were celebrity chef, Gordon Ramsay, former supermodel, Naomi Campbell, and Simon’s own mother, Julie Cowell, who looked very, very elegant for the occasion.

Simon Cowell is about to turn 50 and to celebrate, he wrote a letter to his younger self (and LENGTHY letter) to reflect on his journey over the years.  I actually think it’s a pretty cute idea, to be honest, and I enjoyed reading about how difficult life was for him at one point.

Moving to the busy lifestyle of Los Angeles can take it’s toll on you, but at least American Idol judge, Simon Cowell can come home to a beautiful and luxurious home after a hard day’s work. According to Simon things are finally feeling right for him.

When Katy Perry serves as a guest judge on American Idol, she could turn out to be an ally for Simon Cowell.  Apparently, the singer feels that it’s more important to be honest with contestants than to spare their feelings.

Danyl Johnson tried out for The X Factor in London recently and the judges were so impressed with him that Simon Cowell actually said that it was the best first audition he’s ever seen.  Of course, I had to find out what all the fuss was about and I have to say that I was impressed.  The thing is that Danyl is a good singer but it wasn’t so much about his vocals as it was about his overall performance, which was great.  Before you judge it, think about this for a second – this is an audition.

Will the news about Simon Cowell and Sinitta ever just go away?  The pair dated off and on for a long time and they each say that the other broke their hearts (with Sinitta going off about Simon’s cheating) but they just can’t seem to stay away from each other.

Now that Sinitta is divorcing financier Andy Willner, Simon is apparently providing the moral support.  Sinitta said: "Simon’s been supporting me big time. I spotted some pictures this morning of the acerbic American Idol judge, Simon Cowell, having a grand time at club VIP in St. Tropez, France.  There was a woman standing near him who seemed to be shamelessly trying to get his attention.

American Idol judge, Paula Abdul, has been invited to stay on the show.  According to People.com, Abdul said:  “I’ve been invited to stay the duration of the show, however long it lasts.”
She described their little group as a “dysfunctional family of sorts” and added that she is “the nurturing mom, Simon [Cowell]’s the disapproving dad, and Randy [Jackson]’s the cool brother.  It’s been an interesting journey. It’s something that I’ll always would want to be a part of.”

British singer, Sinitta, dated American Idol judge, Simon Cowell, on and off for 16 years.  The Sun is reporting that she revealed that she met him when she was just 14 years old and he was interested in her friend.

You might know Gordon Ramsay best as the foul-mouthed chef who tortures contestants on Hell’s Kitchen.  I know that some people think he’s exceedingly cruel but I actually kinda like him.  I even think he’s attractive and sexy in his own way. 
I was disappointed to learn that he had given in to the trend in Hollywood and had had Botox injections.  I wasn’t surprised, however, when he explained how he came to arrive at that decision.
