American Idol winner, Carrie Underwood, was on the Ellen show earlier this week where she talked about a variety of things including her relationship with hockey player, Mike Fisher, and her new album.  She looked so pretty!!! 
It was amazing to listen to Ellen listing all of the awards that Carrie has won in the four short years since she won Idol.  The talk show host talked to Carrie about her experience on the show to glean some insight since Ellen has been named a new judge for the upcoming season.

When American Idol winner, Jordin Sparks, tweeted that she wasn’t feeling well a few days ago, I figured it was just a case of her catching some bug that would be gone in a few days but the poor girl was far sicker than that!

She tweeted that she needed prayer and then wrote this: “Was struck w/ acute appendicitis…took out that appendix last night. Recovering today & the next week or so.”

Carrie Underwood was predictably perfect during her performance at the 2009 CMA Awards last night.  She sang “Cowboy Casanova” and danced along to some saucy choreography and I thought it was tasteful but sexy at the same time.  She is a great example of how to do a burlesque-type number without looking skanky. 

American Idol winner, Carrie Underwood, sat down and talked to daytime talk show, Robin Roberts, where she discussed her meteoric rise to fame.  If you’re a fan of Carrie’s you are going to love this interview since it really does provide a behind-the-scenes look at her life.

Have you seen the official music video for Kris Allen’s single “Live Like We’re Dying” yet?  I really like the song and I think the video was a little cooler than I was expecting.  It clearly wasn’t super high budget or anything but I thought the countdown clock in the back was a nice touch.

American Idol winner, Carrie Underwood, has released her newest album, Play On, and from what I’ve heard of it, I would predict that it’s going to make her fans happy and will probably attract some new ones. 
I really like “Cowboy Casanova” but I adore “Mama’s Song” and “Temporary Home.”  I’m so excited for Carrie since it seems like she’s found yet another layer of her talent which almost seems impossible considering how amazing she already was.

Carrie Underwood’s NHL hockey player boyfriend, Mike Fisher, recently talked about what it’s been like to date the country music superstar.  He said that they "always find a way to make it work" despite their hectic schedules.
Mike Fisher said of dating Carrie, "It’s been good!"  He described the first time they met saying that they, "met at a concert in Toronto about a year ago, in October, "through a "friend of a friend.”

If you’re interested, Billboard.com has a preview of “Temporary Home” which is a track from Carrie Underwood’s upcoming album Play On which will be released on November 3, 2009.

I have to say that, from what I’ve heard, I absolutely adore this song!  She sounds so beautiful and I really like the vulnerability she shows when she’s singing in the upper register.  I am really looking forward to hearing this whole alum.

American Idol season 8 winner, Kris Allen , has revealed the cover art for his upcoming self-titled album and I’d love to know what you think of it.  Honestly, I know a lot of people think Kris is hot so I don’t understand why this almost looks cartoonish. Why all the photoshop?
Anyway, I’m looking forward to hearing what the finished product sounds like.  The album is expected to be released on November 17, 2009.
